I think i found my new favorite spot for Vietnamese food. This mom and pop restaurant definitely a hole in the wall. I drove passed by this place so many time. Early in the morning I was craving pho. If wasn't for highly recommended I wouldn't have found this place. This place has outdoor and indoor seating. We went as soon as they were open at 10am. They have no wait staff so you'll have to order everything at the front cashier. I knew was gonna be a good place when you see a little old Vietnamese lady walking into the kitchen after i place my order. I ordered x-large beef combination pho. Their bowl was humongous! The broth was on point! Simmering for hours. You can taste the essence of the beef bone. The bowl was packed with a lot of sliced meat and noodles. I also ordered an iced coffee. It was the real thing! Slow dipping coffee. Took about 20 minutes for my coffee but worth the wait. Can't wait to come back again soon read more

I could have used more jalapeno and cilantro and stuff but I still really appreciated it. Veggies were excellent as well, as are vaggies. Lemongrass beef banh mi was ok. Baguette was not cut in half. Beef was not cut. Cilantro was falling out of the bread. Not enough veggies and no taste. The pho and rice and everything else is a miss. Pho was salty and too much black pepper. There is no pho taste. Noodles break easily I couldn't even pick up with chopsticks. The lemongrass beef rice was a miss. Beef was like Beef jerky, no taste. A great find for Vietnamese food far from the NYC area. I tried the banh mei - full of flavorful bbq meat, pickled daikon/carrots tucked into a crispy French inspired baguette. Also ordered the pho - broth was a rich clear broth and generously topped with meats. And the summer rolls - the peanut dipping sauce was garnished with fried shallots - great texture! I was introduced to Baguette Delite by my college roommate. At that time I believe each banh mi was $5 (they're now $5.50). I've never actually had banh mi before trying it here so this was a great introduction. The bread has a satisfying crunch (terrible if you're not trying to get crumbs everywhere). They have a variety of different proteins for the sandwich but I ALWAYS get the Baguette Delite special. I've tried others, but the special is just better. I like the amount of cilantro they use and there is just the right number of jalapeño slices in the sandwich. It adds some heat but your mouth won't be on fire. If you're in the area you should 100% go and have a banh mi. I've had their pho once and I wasn't really impressed. I didn't hate it either so there's that. It was just your average pho. Although it should be noted that I'm not the biggest pho fan. They have other Vietnamese food too but I always come back for the banh mi. They also have different fruit drinks/shakes. I usually skip them to save more room for banh mi. On my most recent trip I was pleased to find that the interior was redone and looks much nicer than it did before. There are a good amount of tables but it's not exactly the biggest restaurant. If you have a very large group maybe get your food to go. read more

The lemongrass beef bahn mi alone is worth the trip the lemon grass beef sandwich that was so good, no words can describe it but I'll try my best. Good but had to microwave the broth which had cooled by delivery. Ingredients were fresh, but light on the beef slices. Pork chop on rice was not good. Pieces were flavorful, but way over cooked like shoe leather, and the two chops were really fatty and mostly bone. Don't bother. Last dish was egg rolls in vermicelli. All my friends rave about the Pho here, but everytime I come I can't stop myself from ordering the BBQ Pork on Rice. Literally one of my favorite places to get it. Savory and sweet. Not too dry or chewy but still sliced into small pieces. I literally never get tired of it. I've also ordered the Shrimp Rolls here and they were yummy as well! Had to scoop the siracha our of my dipping sauce though since I'm not a fan of siracha. Hits the craving on the nose. This place is highly rated for a reason. Quality Vietnamese food with fresh ingredients. My friends and I decided to stop by after a long road trip. We ordered the traditional banh mi, Vietnamese coffee, lemongrass beef on rice, shrimp rolls and the combination beef pho. We loved all of the food and found ourselves devouring everything. I was really excited for this place, based on the reviews. I get the feeling that it was really good at one point, but quality has since dropped. My Banh Mi sandwich took forever and when it arrived, I wasn't blown away by the quality. To be honest, I didn't find the place to be all that clean on my visit, so while I was waiting, I imagined the cleanliness of the kitchen and it did not make me too excited for my meal. The credit card machine was having problems, so many customers stood around waiting. It was confusing and hectic as more people arrived, but we struggled to figure out who had cash to pay, and when the machine would be ready. Now granted it's nothing flashy on the outside and you may just pass by without a second glance but I suggest you stop and check them out because the food was great! You place your order at the counter and pay and find a seat and it's brought out to your table. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. We started with the Vietnamese egg rolls, they were served piping hot and were crisp with a tasty filling. Then we had the pork vermicelli and the combination pho. The pork was pretty good just a touch on the dry side but I topped it off with some hoisin sauce and it was still really tasty. I'm told the Pho was really good with a nice flavorful broth. Besides the fact we enjoyed the food the prices are very reasonable... only about $25.00 for everything including 2 drinks... Thought I'd give the place another try since my last experience wasn't so great. Ordered 2 combination pho, a bahn mi and 2 bubble teas. The pho was average. A lot of meat is given. The best place to grab a banh mi. The prices are so fair, $6.50, for top quality banh mi, and the best I've had. At other places, they usually upgrade for specialty such as the lemongrass beef but Baguette Delite has a flat rate of $6.50 across the board. I'm in love with the lemongrass beef, so flavorful and juicy that it seeps out from every bite. I also like the charbroiled pork one as well- it keep me in touch with my filipino side because I SWEAR it tastes like longanisa, to my other filipinos out there. I've had the pho, cha gio, and coi guon also. The pho you could pass on but the prices are very fair. The pho is light and not much like a hearty bowl that I usally expect. The cha gio and coi guon, fried spring rolls and fresh summer rolls respectively, are pretty top tier. They mix the summer roll peanut sauce so that there is real peanut on top, which can vary at various viet places and is amongst the best dipping sauces I've had. Surprising find in a small town in Jersey in a standalone building no less. Counter service to order, the prices are somewhat higher than I am used to in Texas (especially the banh mi prices) but not outrageous. I ordered the Tofu vermicelli, going against the adage of only ordering a dish from the name of the restaurant. It was fine although I had to ask for a soy sauce mix on the side because the default sauce was fish sauce based. I should have tasted the sauce first before adding it to the dish because it wasn't diluted and overpowered the dish. One thing that was cool was that they gave the crushed peanuts in a side container, good for those who may have allergy issues. My dining partner enjoyed her combination beef pho although she didn't like the brisket as well as the sliced steak. She said it had a great broth. The ingredients are really fresh and flavorful, and the baguettes are crusty and soft. To start off, I've been here many times throughout my time in central jersey and i Can proudly sit here and say, The food at this restaurant is absolutely delicious. Right in Edison, Nj by the high school, Baguette Delite has been* serving the community some of the best Vietnamese this region of New Jersey has to offer. My go to is the Bbq Pork Bahn Mi (pictured below) and it's always on point. Even the next day when you go to heat it up, the bread becomes even softer. Matching the meat and vegetables on the sandwich making it just as good as when you first bought it. The pho is also very very good and also recommended. It's small but homey and comfortable, it's a very relaxed environment. Definitely recommend coming here as I will continue to go back probably forever read more

My go to pho place in Edison! I've only gotten the pho before - never the banh mi or bubble teas, but I've had really solid experiences with the pho. I usually order a regular size pho with round eye that comes to ~$10 - note the combo has round eye and brisket but not meatballs. My wife was craving for some vietnamese sandwiches for a while now so we decided to get one since we were in the area. I had much better grilled chicken at other vietnamese restaurants but the eggs and the toppings mixed with fish sauce made the meal overall pretty tasty.
