It is a mecca for young girls as one would generally expect and is almost like walking into a sweet shop because everything is appealing, shiny and colourful with no shortage of any particular item. They are more than happy to suggest something for you if you are a bit lost in the massive choice available here.

While the other half sought out a new jacket, I decided that there was no harm in taking a look at the sale items. Three escalator rides up, I finally found the eye catching sale signs. You can't really fault the amount and diversity of stock here - there's plenty to look at, from shoes and 'night out' outfits to their extensive make-up and jewellery range. It all just depends on your taste as to whether you'll find something. As it was mainly summer stock marked down, there were far too many crop tops and neon colours for my personal taste, but I can see why people keep flooding back. Whether one likes it or not, they do have their finger of the pulse of "what's on trend" (or, at least, what we're told is on trend) and stock seems to constantly change. They sell clothing for larger ladies such as jeans, dresses, underwear, swimwear, tops, suits, jewellery, accessories and outerwear. The items available are all a bit samey. The basic items such as jeans and work trousers are good and fairly inexpensive but there isn't really anything that stands out. The staff are very helpful. When you go to the fitting room to try items on the attendant will take the items off you, lead you to a free fitting room out of the many available, and then advise you to ask them if you need any help. They are happy to bring you more sizes and if the size you need is not in store they will phone round other stores to see if they have it, or they will order it specially for you and contact you when it has arrived. The store is clean and tidy and there seems to be a good stock of sizes on the rails. This is a great little shop.

At the moment the shop is full of florals and nautical clothing, and there are some fab items in the sale too. The shop assistants are nice and friendly and know what they're talking about, and even the security guards understand when you furtively dart inside the door to make sure no one sees you (it's not always 'cool' to shop at oversized clothes stores) Definitely somewhere I'd head after the post-Christmas pounds to stock up on comfy gear until the New Year diet kicks in round about March...

Some of them are plain, some embroidered and some feature beautiful, bold patterns. I particularly like the design of the shop because it reminds me of the beach! Their dressing rooms certainly give me the impression of swimming pool changing rooms (with a cabin element) and reflected throughout the beach theme is their glorious array of colourful and funky clothing. These are designer clothes for plus sized women. There are now two spacious floors in the Cavern Arcade devoted to Boudoir's gorgeous clothes, jewellery and accessories. The style of the store is a little indefinite; it's glamorous and girly, a little alternative and eclectic; it's unusual and individual rather than peculiar and abnormal! It is expensive but really beautiful quality original pieces so ideal for a special occassion; I shopped here for my school leaver's dress and 21st birthday dress.
