On board cruise stopping at Kusadasi Turkey?  We were and realized it was a wonderful shopping…read moreexperience!  We found that some shops are more forthright, kind & friendly than others.  We recognized Saray Scarf to be OUTSTANDING in creating an ultimate shopping level of comfort!  They not only know their products very well, provide an awesome selection, they also understand and respect their customers.  They are kind, knowledgeable, personable, friendly & a joy to visit with.  They even shared their tea with us during a short respite at their shop.  They made some excellent shopping suggestions, some of which we agreed to.  We would not hesitate to visit with them again, when in the area, not only due to their pleasant demeanor but due to the quality & reasonable prices of their products.  I purchased a couple of their Pashmina Scarf's.  They are SO soft, comfortable and beautiful.  They provided lots of warmth, coziness & beauty during our late fall visit to Greece & Turkey.  This is what Google Says about Pashmina:  "Pashmina and Cashmere are both luxurious fabrics made from the soft undercoat of goats. Although the carpets are quite beautiful, I would have liked to have skipped this stop on our tour…read more Watching how they spin the silk and knot the carpets was interesting. Thankfully, they were not so pushy with their sales. They say that that they sell 40,000 carpets a year and that they are subsidized by the government for their award winning carpets. Interesting if you have not seen this process, but we've seen the pitch in previous trips to Turkey.

After exploring the big Bazaar and finding some good deals at the southern end (forget the first…read morebunch of store right at the start - higher prices and bigger hassle), we came to this Bazaar here. It did look pretty with its few covered lanes. But really nothing for us to shop. Mostly some arts & crafts, carpets and endless fake watch stores (some at least even have the word "fake" on the shop sign). It's not the place where I'd buy a realiable watch, I got a good one already. So we were really not the target customers here. Ok, they sellers weren't really pushy here in this section, compared to the bazaar on the main drag. So it was really just a quick walk and a quick visit. Next time we'll skip this part, but it was ok to see it once.
