On a day that I'm essentially sleep walking or loaded down with luggage and not up to exploring, this German chain is my coffee comfort zone. There are three locations in Mannheim, but the lounge at the Hauptbahnhoff was a welcome site. The decor is modern, subdued and swank. In my mind it is the German version of Starbucks. They always have good space for groups so you can have a meeting or otherwise spread out and work or visit with friends and colleagues. The menu is a whole host of coffee drinks, but I'm a fan of their hot chocolate. Lots of seasonal options and special drinks. They have a few other food items on their menu, but the focus is definitely on bagels. Not just plain, but filled with all sorts of interesting items. Elegant grab-and-go for your train trip.

Less busy than the one in Frankfurt and since less people the comfy leather-suede couches were up to the choosing. It was stated the Baked Apple Frap. was good and the sandwich was also good. I thought my latte was up to par. I also had the orange juice, a sandwich that was moderately tasty and a BIO Lemon Fresh sparking soda like drink to go. The BIO Lemon Fresh is like a better version of 7up but more natural and had a more zesty taste to it. The funny thing is not too long after we were sitting there, maybe 15 minutes later. I also decided to get a Baked Apple Frap. but the young lady behind the counter said the machine to make it was down. Hmmmmmmm!!! Anyway, this coffee fellows in the train station has two ways to go up to it. And it's not small. It has pay as you go internet stations with like 3-4 computers, three sections to sit (which one is the smoking lounge which I fount to be a very nice room with a great view of the shopping stores of one street). Snippy guy behind the counter. 4. Salami sandwich takes 30 minutes to make. However, the sandwich was really good and they offer free water, so it's not all bad. The seating area is also nice, it's on a second floor so you aren't in danger of being shat on my a pigeon. I do not recall them being as greasy when I was a regular at one in Orlando Florida. I also ordered an ice coffee, and again, it wasn't great. Nothing exceptionally good with the coffee.

Never had anything less than outstanding service! The only thing I would change is the music- it is loud dance music in the seating area making hard to hold a conversation or do any work. But really, I go there for the coffee not to sit in the train station so it doesnt effect me for long.
