Long line on Sundays but it moves fast!

If you get the right bagels, this place is fantastic. Best bagel store in the area by far. If you get the wrong bagels, this place is fine but not worth the price. I've gotten the Zatar bagel which is excellent and pairs well with cream cheese or butter. I've gotten the smoked cheddar, which is also excellent. Anything with a lot of seasoning on it is great (sesame seed was great). Unfortunately, my wife does not share my glowing opinion of this bagel shop because both times she has gotten bagels there, she's been extremely underwhelmed by the lack of flavor. Her blueberry bagel was blueberry in name only. There was absolutely no blueberry scent or taste. We thought the rosemary bagel would be different, but there was but a lone dash of rosemary on top, a few grains of sea salt, and absolutely no rosemary flavor to be found. They would be very good bagels if they actually tasted like blueberry or rosemary. But as it stands, they are nothing special. For the price of one of these, you could drive down the road to Bobby's bagel café and get six day olds. Nothing special, but you get a lot more bagels for the price. So in conclusion, if you get the right bagel, you're going to love this place. Just temper your expectations if the bagel is not loaded with spices or cheese.

My friends and I got the horrible idea of walking/running to Bagel Street from Arlington last Saturday morning. Two of us woke up at 7:30 AM to get ready for our long 10 mile journey that would take about three hours and 44 minutes according to Google Maps. Fortunately, it took us a bit shorter than that, but we were famished upon arrival. We waited for our other friend who decided to run here under the scorching sun. There was a decently sized line at around 11:30 AM and an even larger clump of eager people waiting for their orders. Most of their bagels were out except their scallion pancake, smoked cheddar, and blueberry. The employees were nice and friendly and told us the wait for food would be around 25-30 minutes. SICHUAN STREET - 11.95 All three of us got the Sichuan Street bagel sandwich because it's definitely one of their most unique offering. Normally, this comes with a Sichuan bagel, but since they were out, we substituted it with the scallion pancake. We devoured the sandwich -- partially because we were quite hungry after the trek, but also because it was delicious. It's a great fusion of ingredients containing Chinese sausage, American cheese, kewpie mayo, egg, and hot honey. Truly a flavor bomb of creamy, savory, sweet, and light amount of spice. The bagel was crispier than expected, unlike the fluffy, slightly chewy bagels I'm used to. But I loved that it was different since it reminded me of the crisp of a scallion pancake. I also got a few bagels (2.60 each) and a scallion cream cheese (6 per 8oz tub) to enjoy for the next few days. Despite freezing them, they all tasted amazing and fresh once I air-fried them. I enjoyed both the scallion pancake and smoked cheddar with the scallion cream cheese (incredibly aromatic and fresh) and some smoked salmon that I already had at home. Bagel Street is the best bagel spot in the DMV. The couple who runs the cafe are really nice and sweet, and I'm excited to come back for more bagels and cream cheese!

Loveee that they have asian flavored bagels like Sichuan Street (isn't too spicy if you're worried about spice) and scallion pancake. The bagels were so delicious! Had a nice crisp outside and soft inside. There was a bit of a wait since it was a weekend and they're still pretty new, but they were constantly baking more bagels. I definitely would come back to try their other bagels!

So MF gas holy shiiii. I tried going on Friday after my run around 12pm & it was all sold out. So I went after solidcore today around 8am & they had everything. I got my siblings bagels what i think they'd like bc they were asleep. The service was very kind and had a welcoming feeling inside. Home-y vibes. I highly recommend going but go early!!!!! (Or else its all sold out and u need that Sichuan bagel fr) 2x sichuan street (Sichuan bagel, Chinese sausage, kewpie mayo, egg, cheese, & hot honey) 10/10. Gd it was the perfect amount of everything with a little spice kick. Holy shi The block burger bagel - (onion bagel, burger patty, cheese, red onion, Dijon, & pickles) can't rate bc its my brothers and he's not up

Dare I say, the best (maybe the only good) bagel in NOVA! I saw Bagel Street all over Instagram so I just had to check it out and I was honestly blown away! I got the Captain's Catch (smoked tuna) and the Sichuan Bagel on an everything bagel. The bagel is crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. A lot of the bagel places in the area just toast up stale bagels, but you can definitely taste the difference in quality here because they hand roll their bagels fresh every day!! The plus is that the owners are also SO SO friendly and nice. I'll definitely be back.

Best bagel sandwich I've had in a long time! Kept seeing Bagel St promoted on socials and needed to try it! I got the Sichuan sandwich and was NOT disappointed. The bagel was a bit spicy, so I may try a different bagel next time, but the rest of the sandwich was perfection. The combo of egg, Chinese sausage, cheese, kewpie mayo and hot honey made for the perfect balance of sweet and savory making for the perfect bite. The staff were very kind and helpful. They get a bit busy, so try to go at off hours or be prepared to wait a little bit. It's worth the wait!

By far... I mean by far... the best bagels in NOVA! But it could also be that it was soooo busy... that I had a scallion bagel right out of the oven... man... I am a bagel fanatic and only think about bagels from NYC and certain Jersey places... This was the closest I've ever had... this place gets slammed and there is only a few seats and the parking is insane... So I'd make sure you have enough time and maybe even order ahead online and pick it up! But you still have to wait even if you order ahead... Good things come to those who wait!

Great bagels with fun Asian flavors like scallion and szechuan peppers. Our favorite was the scallion cream cheese and the rosemary/seasalt bagel. Staff is friendly and helpful. There are 3 tables if you want to eat inside.

Was really looking forward to trying this place, as I am a big bagel fan. We walked into a very packed restaurant and by the time we left the line was out the door. Bagels were pretty disappointing, extremely bready and not like a typical bagel consistency. Additionally there is nowhere near enough seating for the volume coming in so recommend taking to-go if you come here. I wanted to like it but will be going elsewhere for my Saturday morning bagels!

We went to Bagel Street on a Saturday morning. The line was out the door, but moved quickly and efficiently. The bagels are made right in front of you as well. Everything was fresh and delicious, but the highlights were the scallion bagel and the sichuan bagel. The scallion bagel is a Chinese scallion pancake in bagel form. The sichuan bagel sandwich was wonderfully spiced, with really unique and savory flavors. Will definitely be going back. The yuzu cream cheese was sold out so will definitely try that next time!

Went again because I couldn't stop thinking about that delicious bagel I had and got to try the Sichuan Street on a plain bagel this time (I'm a weenie when it comes to spice, but if ur a spice lover def get it on the Sichuan bagel! My friend tried that one and LOVED it). The chinese sausage adds such a delicious sweet savoriness and paired with the fresh herby scallions makes for the most amazing bagel sandwich! Can't recommend enough, definitely go and see for yourself!!

Came here at 2pm on a Thursday afternoon, they only had poppy seed bagels left. Tried it with the Sichuan street toppings and it was jammy from the egg, sweet and salty from the hot honey/chinese sausage. The bagel itself is pretty good with a nice crust and fluffy insides, it had a nice chew. Overall, will have to come back to try it with the Sichuan bagel and/or the scallion bagel.

It's huge and really makes for two meals. It comes with very decent fries and an excellent side salad that has been drizzled with two different tasty dressings. We saw lentil soup on the menu, and if it's like the lentil soup at the Carnegie Diners in NYC, I highly recommend it. We absolutely will be back.

As it appears in a photo in the menu. I did not receive a bowl. I received an espresso sized cup of chili for $15.95. And lots of tortilla chips. In all honesty this appetizer should be called "a plate of tortilla chips with a spritzer of chili on the side. They offer a prix-fixe menu that changes seasonally (?) for brunch and dinner. The ingredients here are high-quality and well prepared and cared for before serving. I've heard great things about Maple Ave from a friends, so I took my family here for dinner this past Wednesday. We really enjoyed the creativity of how the dishes were crafted and plated here and the execution was also phenomenal. This time around, it was 59.00 per person for a 4-course prix-fixe dinner (two appetizers, one entree, and one dessert). Since there were only a couple options per section, we were able to try all the options they had. FIRST: APPLE HAZELNUT SOUP Creamy, pale colored soup with a thicker consistency similar to butternut squash soup. It was lightly sweet, yet savory at the same time. There were some pickled apples and toasted hazelnuts delicately sprinkled on top that added a bit of a crunch. The soup was unique and we enjoyed it. FIRST: ROOTCAKE Between the rootcake and the apple hazelnut soup, the rootcake was my favorite. The vegetables were caramelized and made into a patty, topped generously with almonds with some umami aïoli and pimenton sauce. The rootcake was so good. Each bite was hearty and rich, and it's such a unique way to prepare vegetables. The sauce enhanced each bite and the almonds provided a nutty texture. I would recommend the rootcake as your first option. SECOND: CRISPY SQUASH NUGGETS I didn't think I would enjoy the crispy squash nuggets as much as I did. The roasted squash is breaded with panko crumbs, sitting in some dill yogurt sauce and topped with some raisins and radish. The squash were perfectly seasoned and crispy with a soft interior that left my taste buds wanting more. The dill yogurt sauce was a good complement. I'd definitely recommend this option if you're not a fan of mushrooms and/or you want something more crispy. SECOND: WILD MUSHROOM RISOTTO One of the best mushroom risottos I've ever had. It's rich and creamy, filled with truffle flavor. The shiitake mushrooms had a dry, crispy texture. The manchego shavings on top were a great plus. The squash was used for coloring and probably some flavoring? Not sure. The whole thing was really good and memorable. I'd definitely recommend! THIRD: SHRIMP I'm not a huge fan of shrimp, but my family loved it along with the citrus braised fennel. I was a fan of the creamy semolina, though! Overall, it wasn't for me, but that's more of a personal preference. THIRD: PORK CONFIT STEAK The pork they used was pork belly (?) and seared very nicely, topped with perfectly crispy potatoes, mangoes (?), brown butter sweet potato puree and chimi churri sauce. The pork belly melted in my mouth but as someone who's not the biggest fan of fatty pork, I wish it was a leaner cut. The potatoes were so good and went well with the sweet potato puree. Even though I didn't love the pork confit steak, I'd recommend this entree over the shrimp. FOURTH: MOCK FRIED "APPLE" PIE It was zucchini instead of apple and you can't even tell. I loved the crispy pie exterior which was lightly topped with cinnamon. The vanilla bean ice cream was my favorite as it was creamy and smooth. The dulce de leche and lavender honey were nice touches. Very nice way to end the meal. All the food here were so rich with lots of complex flavors. Each dish was so beautifully plated with many vibrant colors. We were quite full after all the food we ate. I would recommend coming here with another person to try all the options they offer here! The food here is unique and well-executed, and I'd be open to come back to try a different seasonal menu.
