AWESOME!! Driving from Seattle to Nashville as part of a move. Took this exit for Subway and the parking lot next door had a "Free Whiskey" sign. Who the hell can pass that up?!? Wife, two kids and the dog waited in the car with the a/c running while I went in for what I assumed was a free sample. There were some locals in there joking with the two-person staff sharing some cheese and jerky. I signed the guest log and asked for details on what they had. Sounded so good I asked to buy a flight if 4 samples for $10. Bought two bottles and then the wife came in looking for me! She tried a sample and bought herself a bottle! Told them I was an active duty Soldier moving and they everyone in the place thanked me for my service and the staff gave me a free sticker. If passing nearby and like whiskey, this is a must stop!! read more

YOU MUST TRY THE HONEY WHISKEY HERE! Not only do they have about a dozen wonderful flavors of whiskey to try, but the entire tasting room is so cool. Very rad ambiance, with cool bar stools, tons of merch to shop, some food options and a super friendly staff. Stoped at the Badlands Distillery driving through South Dakota on our way to Mt. Rushmore, and was very happy we did. Very friendly woman that greeted us when we walked in was fantastic in her presentation of the whiskeys. There were 8 to sample and the decision on which to buy was tough because they were all very good. Impressed by the Reserve (an old family receipe) as well as the Badlands Honey. Every one of the whiskeys was excellent! I will definitely be back and really hope they find a way to distribute in WI soon! read more

Badlands Distillery - Distilleries Near Me - Kadoka, South Dakota

Fun small craft distillery not too far from Badlands. We stopped in here after a day of hiking. It is located right off the freeway and is easy to find. The small tasting room is perfect for the casual conversations we had with the tasting attendant. Very friendly service and it was a pleasure sitting back and sipping on the various whiskeys. I will say that they probably specialize in flavored alcohol - almost all of what we tried had some type of flavor to it, whether it was apple, caramel, or honey. We were able to sample some straight bourbon, but they were low on supply. All in all, a good place to finish off a day of seeing the Badlands. read more

My wife and I happened to stop by on a closed day. Turns out the owners step father was waiting for her to show up. She pulled up a couple of minutes later. She opened up the doors for us with a smile on her face. Badlands distillery has 8 bottles currently and they let you sample all of them! Now I like my whiskey, and don't know the owner other then meeting her today, But what they have is a gold mine. This is some of the best whiskey I have ever had and the bottles were well priced. I would totally recommend this place to anyone driving near Kadoka, SD. Thanks for serving us!! read more

Can't beat a free tasting to break up a long drive! The Badlands whiskey is some of the best even after having done tastings across KY and TN. Left with fresh jam and a few bottles of our favorites. Would definitely recommend! read more
