French flavors and ingredients showcased on whimsical plates, heighten the experience of dining. L'Atelier is a small and elegant venue, sometimes a bit noisy. It's clientele, an eclectic mix of business men, locals, and even retirees, all just looking to enjoy a wonderful meal. I've said it many times, we eat with our eyes, but here the experience starts with the nose, the delicious smells permeate the dining room as surrounding tables are served. Our meal began with an aperitif along with a complementary, deliciously fresh gaspacho shooter. Our table chose a frois gras starter, copious, well presented and simply, delicious. Fish dishes of loup (a moist white fish) and salmon followed, as well as beef, lamb and andouillette (a regional favorite and an acquired taste, I must admit I do not enjoy), followed. Pictures are actually worth a thousand words. The service, friendly and attentive, even if on this particular occasion, a few mishaps were encountered due to the training of a new waiter. Dessert and coffee round out an end to a perfect meal. You must see and experience it for yourself. My only disappointment, as a visitor, here only for a short while, I won't be able to come back....
