This review comes from a few perspectives, that hopefully some of you can relate to…read more.. 1. I absolutely love taking photos, but can count on one hand the few I actually like of myself. 2. Before this year, I had no idea what boudoir was, let alone knew how to model for it. One thing was for sure though, I could have NEVER imagined myself doing something as spontaneous as this. 3. If I were to do it, I was just about certain that I'd be the exception when it came down to the flawless photos she took. The beautiful models on the website probably were used to it, had perfect bodies for it, and were confident enough to pull it off. Not quite sure I could fit in that category either. The Details... A friend of a friend suggested that I did a boudoir shoot for my fiance as his wedding day groom's gift. Truthfully, I was getting a bit desperate to find something for him that I knew without a doubt he would appreciate. I began searching for a photographer with a good reputation and wanted to be especially sure that they were someone I could trust (since this was such a vulnerable situation). A quick search led me to Meagan and her amazing work. I figured it wouldn't hurt to at least inquire about it. Minutes later, and I mean minutes, she responded through email expressing her excitement for my interest. I'll go ahead and put it out there- her personality through email is spot on for how she is in person. She is in this business for one reason- to make women feel beautiful, confident, sexy, and proud of who they are. Trust me when I say that this is genuinely her passion and the sole purpose of why she does this. Between the time I booked and the shoot, we exchanged several emails and phone calls to answer any questions and ensure that I felt comfortable before I even walked in the door. When it was finally time for my session, I was in the midst of finalizing wedding plans, a bit frazzled, and more unorganized than ever. I literally brought everything I owned (not having any idea what to expect) and forgot the few things I actually needed, like my wedding veil. While I was getting my hair and makeup done, Meagan actually ran to her house and brought her veil for me to use so that I could get the photos I was really wanting. Also, being days away from my postponed lingerie shower, I was limited on my nicer lingerie, so she actually lent me a few things during the shoot. If you read her blog, she describes in great detail how the entire experience will be, down to the day after when you may be sore (not going to lie, I totally was). By the end of the day, you'll walk away feeling like you were just catching up with an old friend. My Overall Opinions... Meagan showed genuine interest in me, and made it her primary goal to use this photo shoot as a celebration of who I am. Such a small detail, but this made a huge impact on the overall experience. During the reveal, I couldn't believe the photos were of me. She captured so many corners of my personality, some that only my husband recognized. It's not all 'sexy poses'. She really puts thought, care, even science into figuring out how to bring out the real you in all atmospheres so that your photos are personal and unique. The biggest deciding factor and what I will pass on as the most important point, is the priceless souvenir- feeling so much more at peace with who you are as a woman. Meagan was welcoming, friendly and super easy to chat with. Once hair and make up was done and we were ready to start shooting, all of the nerves washed away! Meagan is incredibly warm, comfortable, makes the whole process seamless. She always gives concrete ways to move your body for posing- and is so positive and confidence boosting. Ok, so I received this as a gift from my husband. He purchased it on Groupon. I was super skeptical…read moreabout going so I held off as long as I could. Welp the expiration date was near and he reminded me of it. Considering I am turning 40 soon, I thought what a great way to celebrate my 40th! I purchased a few sexy outfits, went and got my hair and makeup professionally done, and went to my photoshoot, again super nervous, this was totally out of my comfort zone, but the photographer made me feel super comfy and I actually felt really sexy in all of my outfits and poses. I anxiously awaited my date to review my pics and the image consultant was super sweet and helpful. I did spend 1,000, however, this is probably something I will not do again, I only turn 40 once, and my husband when he saw those pics....... (we reviewed them together), he was mumbling under his breath, he was just as shocked at those pics and it made me feel sexy all over again. As a mom, wife, and working full time, I needed this... we all need this reminder, we are sexy and this just reignited it for me. Amber (Photographer) and McKenna, (Image consultant) THANK YOU! I did a lot of research upfront and read a lot of reviews...... I must say I was well aware of what I was getting myself into. The prices were sent with each email, (Pricing guide) and they always suggested to be prepared to put 10% down...Before my image consultant began, she repeated that same statement. I just say be open, the hotel was super nice, the images were nice.... this is not photography done with a disposable camera so be open and prepared to pay for nice pics, cause more than likely you will love all of your pics. I started with 117 pics, and got down to 74..... and then got down to 11. It was hard, but I am in love with my pics and happy for stepping outside of my comfort zone and doing this. -A happy and sexy mom!
