As the mother of the bride that has been extremely involved in all vendor selections and partnerships I am extremely disappointed in Emily. She literally ignored my daughter's phone calls and messages. My daughter was left extremely panicked and at a loss. No mother wants this for daughter weeks before her wedding. We were forced to seek another photographer because we were concerned about ever trusting her business practices during and after the wedding. Her contract explicitly states that timely communication is promised as part of the contract. She is now refusing to refund her deposit even though it is clear she broke contract. DO NOT USE HER!!!!

WARNING: Do NOT book services with Emily. I was looking forward to having Emily shoot my wedding…read moreuntil I could not reach her day after day. Sent her a text and called once a day for three days and absolutely no response. On the 4th day, when I sent a final message about her being too busy to take me on as a client and we would need to professionally part ways... she finally responded to tell me to say refunding my deposit is not an option and her contract does not state she has to respond to me (see snippet of her contract and emails below). I was shocked. She also denied her lack of communication even with screenshots showing my attempts to contact her. As a wedding photographer, you would think she would understand a bride's stress of planning a wedding and knowing usually the photos are what we spend the most money on, so the easiest way to provide good service is through communication. Next she told me, I would need to request time on her calendar to connect with her and she would advise if the requested time was approved and that she would only communicate via email going forward. Also, proceeded to say that she expected full payment the day of my complaint or she would understand we were no longer going to work together. Honestly, writing this because I would hate for any other bride to experience what I have with Emily and add stress to what is supposed to be a fun and exciting time in their life. Copied from her contract: "COOPERATION + EXCLUSIVITY: The Client and the Photographer consent to happily cooperating and communicating with each other to achieve the best possible result within the understanding of this contract." Emily's email verbatim: "Unfortunately our contract does not state any expectations about phone communication, and therefore I have not breached the contract by not returning your phone calls. I am currently exclusively available by email, and have designated time slots for clients to book a phone call with me during my work hours.... I will respond strictly to emails moving forward, unless a phone consultation is booked in my calendar and it is approved. " Overall, hope this review helps brides avoid bad vendor partnerships and book vendors they can rely on to make their big day less stressful.

I called Groove House at the recommendation of a friend of mine, who owns a recording studio in Hollywood. As far as he was concerned, there was no alternative than to use Groove House and I now understand why. The people at Groove House really understand what it means to create something - they understand that your album is your precious baby. And they treat it and you, accordingly. In a day and age where customer service falls terribly behind what it used to, when you experience good customer service you sigh with relief. When you experience GREAT customer service, you're shocked and so ecstatic and appreciative that you feel the need to spread the word. I actually became a member of YELP today (for the first time) for the express reason of gushing about my experience with Groove House. And no, I'm not one of their employees faking that I am a customer. I am a customer - and a very happy one at that. Let me tell a little about my experience: The phone gets picked up right away -Judy, the main customer service person there, knows every little bit of info about the company, what it offers, and additionally, things of a perhaps more complex and "legal business" nature (i.e licensing, forms) that other companies would insist you figure out for yourself. She gets how it all works and will give you all the info and guidance that she thinks you'll need to make smart decisions for your album/product. She'll tell you about the quality of the materials and presses they use. She'll talk to you like a friend that she's looking out for. She's down-to-earth, smart and knowledgable and just, well, perhaps one of the best service people I've experienced. She has been in touch with myself and my graphic artist at every step of pre-production. The team is very interconnected and communicates constantly with eachother so it's not unusual for each person to have an idea about where in the process the company is with the individual artist. This is one hell of a pro business - I've felt at most times like their only customer (even though they do get busy) they've made me feel so special and important to them. I have no doubt that the end product will be beautiful but it's the pre-production stuff where I feel I've already gotten my value and then some. Do yourself a favor - if you have a CD that's coming out and you wish to explore a company that will rock your world and give you the most bang for your buck, call Groove House and just talk to Judy - that alone should make you feel like your baby will be pampered and doted on from the get-go all the way through the process. His calm demeanor and experience with weddings meant that we didn't have to stress about the video at all. Our wedding had to be all outdoors (ceremony and reception).
