Much of the dental work I've had there has had to be redone…read more Apparently the assistants do the fillings after the dentist does the prep. They also do not seem to understand how not to leave an overhang and how to finish a margin. The office looks nice, but the skill level of the dentistry is poor to middling, depending on who you get. They cycle baby docs through there, who get their experience there, and then move on. My guess is that they don't vett anyone. I find the forced friendly thing to be over the top and tiresome. The problem is thatvthey literally dont know what they should know. Also I've had some interesting bookkeeping issues there, like a credit for over $500 that I wasn't told about, until they wouldn't take my new insurance, and wanted me to pay on their insurance plan. I find their bookkeeping and dental skills suspiciously inadequate

I was a little late for my appointment and the person at the desk said I may not be seen and may have to reschedule which was upsetting because I was getting the second half of a bridge fitted that day. They did end up seeing me but being told that felt a little harsh, however, this is the only discomforting experience I've had with them.

Oh my, where do I even begin?…read more Dr. Lemire is nothing short of a saint IMO, and I feel really lucky to have found her. I'm so grateful the one person I admired at the *ahem* previous dentist, is who recommended her, because I've never doubted my decision to move over to her. SHE is the one who talked me down from the ledge after being terrorized by a previous dentist. SHE is the one who gave me a reason to trust dentists again. SHE is the one who fixed all the work that other quack messed up. SHE is the one who saved his backside from getting reported. Maybe that last part isn't such a good thing necessarily, but it does show her diplomacy skills if nothing else. She, along with her staff - were just plain awesome to me and my boyfriend who also went there. They knew all about my life, my work, my likes and dislikes. They are like family there. The whole crew there is very symbiotic and peaceful with each other there, and it shows. Their office is cheerful and relaxed, and they always made me feel right at home. The only reason they're getting 4 stars instead of 5, is that she stopped using Nitrous Oxide. I think that's important for a dentist to have available for nervous wrecks like myself. Tho she is an absolute PRO at giving shots, and is very VERY sensitive to your pain, it's still kind of a deal killer to some, including one person I tried to recommend to her. It wasn't for me because we had already built up a trust factor, but going forward I would not visit any place that didn't offer this service. Another thing I don't view as a plus is that they still use amalgam (mercury) fillings, which I personally feel are dangerous. I would prefer a dentist that didn't use these at all. BUT again I have to emphasize - they are still wonderful people who genuinely care for their patients well-being and comfort. You will not go wrong with them, especially if you're one of those types who only needs the routine exam/cleaning. Dr. Lemire is nothing if not precise and downright finicky about getting things right. And did I mention gentle? Extreeeemely gentle. Her staff is 100% kind and attentive as well. I never felt rushed or stupid, even when I was being an absolute baby... lol I'm now on the other side of the country, and can honestly say I miss the heck out of everyone there at Dr Lemire's office. I was very fortunate to have them in care of my oral needs (and there were many!!) for the almost 7 years I saw them.

I had the best time at Apple Dental!…read more When was the last time you said that about YOUR dentist? From start to finish their whole office was the epitome of friendly professionalism. I called their office inquiring to see if they accepted my insurance even though they were not listed on my insurance's "preferred" list. After a quick fact check and a guarantee they had me scheduled for my first appointment and a cleaning within the week. Everyone was very helpful and friendly while I filled out my paperwork. They welcomed me with a gift bag of dental care accessories and a box of candy from Cranberry Sweets which I thought was right on the nose lol! I had my teeth cleaned over two appointments and began a treatment plan for the next year after my baby is born. Today I received a statement in the mail and when I called to ask a few questions they were more than helpful. I would highly recommend Apple Dental for all your dental care!

It is easy to see why someone would be a bit afraid and/or intimidated. However my first experience was outstanding. They got me in two months early due to a cancellation. I recently went here to get wisdom teeth removed. I was told during the initial injections to raise…read moremy left hand at any point during the procedure if I was in too much pain or needed to stop. Midway through I raised my hand because my jaw was severely cramping and I needed to stop for a moment. He told me to put down my hand and continued. I was unable to speak since my jaw was pryed open and they had their hands in my mouth. I started getting major anxiety and by the time they finished removing the tooth I was not feeling any better. He proceeded to ask me if I wanted to keep going and I said I think so, but I need a minute to relax my jaw. He aggressively cut me off saying "You have to decide now. We have other patients." It was apparent that they had scheduled several other wisdom teeth extractions that day since I waited at least 40 minutes to be seen. This dentist is aggressive and has very poor bedside manner and time management. From proceeding when I needed to stop to jerking my head around multiple times without warning me first. I decided after the first tooth to leave and not do the second extraction. Since then I have been in major pain and have had a low fever and have been unable to eat since he stitched the side of my cheek in addition to the wound created. I have heard multiple accounts from other previous patients of him being overly pushy and overall rude to patients. I'm writing this to warn any other low income OHP patients who think their options are limited to this dentist only. Please do yourself a favor and do not go here. I could go on but I figure this is long enough and a good representation of my experience. Thank you to anyone who reads this.
