The beer shot glass and bacon samples. Some samples are bigger than the ones pictured.

A MUST MUST MUST !!! Purchased Sunday early admission tickets making my entry time 12p. I arrived at 12p but I suggest arriving a bit earlier than your entry time. The entry line was really long but moved very quickly. We were given a shot glass sized souvenir cup (that's what the beer vendors fill to provide your beer sample). The first hour was bliss. The beer and bacon lines moved very quickly. The samples were soooo delicious. Many businesses were local and I made sure to take menus and business cards in order to continue supporting. We tried every bacon vendor on the first level with ease. Once 1p rolled around it got very crowded Bc it was time for general admission. Thankfully we were moving onto the second level (the lines were not bad there either). We did not wait more than 10mins for a bacon sample. The beer lines move at rocket speed regardless of length. I look forward to Bacon and Beer 2018 !!!

SO MUCH FUN - Go. I promise, you won't regret it. I went to the 1-4PM session and it was great. I tried a ton of great beers and foods. It was a beautiful, sunny day, too. If you get GA tickets, I would try to get there a little early. I was at least #1,000 in line and I got in the door by 1:15PM. Not bad. It moves fast, but if you can get there a little early, you'll get it at 1:00 PM! My favorite part was just meeting people and walking around. My favorite food sample was the bahn mi sandwich? The brisket taco was also good and so was the cart with the plain bacon chunks. For beer, I enjoyed the Sierra Nevada a lot as well as the chocolate egg cream stout. I look forward to coming back again.

If you want to come here next year, make sure you come an hour before your time. I came here Friday Night April 22nd. Entrance was at 8pm and I got there around 7:22 and the line was already around the stadium. They had different times, VIP early access 7PM, which included an hour of early access and access to exclusive bacon and beer tents inside the field here at CitiField which I believe it cost $175. Second option was the early access at 7:30PM, which only includes 30 minute early access and no access to the exclusive spots inside the field, this option cost $100. Then they had the general admission which you entered at 8pm. I had the G.A. tickets and with us getting there 38 minutes before they opened the gates the line was still literally around the stadium. 15 minutes before 8pm they came around offering early access for just $25 which was already a rip-off. The general admission cost $77, early access was $100 and you making me pay $25 on top of my $77 for me to enter 15 minutes before 8pm, get the effff out of here. We waited of course no reason to pay extra for less time. It was a mad house in there, it didn't matter what station you went to, if it was either a beer station or a bacon station the lines were insane. The minimum people I probably encounter in front of me were 25-30 people. The Bareburger line had probably 50 people in front of me and the ones with the hot dogs was twice as much. They had 2 locations for you to go to either the Main level or the 500 section which was 2 floors up. Even with 2 floors of space the vendors couldn't keep up with the amount of attendees. Some vendors ran out of food and they either left or restocked and when they had to restock they had to go back to their van and we had to wait 20+ minutes. They had games that you can play but of course I was too busy waiting on the lines to miss out on all the fun they had, I even lost out on watching the Bacon Eating Contest. I probably didn't get to enjoy half of the vendors that were there which to me I would rather spend my $77 in a restaurant because I barely had the time to get the full experience. I suggest that whomever organizes this event to please take to consideration of how many of us didn't get to enjoy it, either have more vendors for the attendees or limit the amount of people you sell these tickets too. Yes, CITIFIELD can fill a stadium with over 20,000 people that doesn't mean go crazy and give everyone access. You are ruining our experience with just wasting our time being on line. I've gone to Meatopia and Food & Wine Festival and I've never experience that in those events. This was my first and last time at the Bacon and Beer Classic.

Clearly, I love bacon and beer. Who doesn't? Heathens, that's who! Getting in was easy. The line wasn't crazy and it moved quickly. They have you open your bag and look inside, scan you with a metal detector, and check your ID before coming inside. They don't let you bring in water even if it's sealed and you have a designated driver ticket, which would be fine if they made water readily available inside, which they don't. Besides keeping everyone dehydrated, it also means you can't rinse out that stout taste from your glass before pouring in an IPA. Speaking of the glasses, they're a massive 4 ounces! This was way more than a tasting of a beer, and because I wanted to try many things quickly, I ended up tossing a lot of what was poured to me. Damn shame. There wasn't as much food as you would think, and knowing what I know now I would have eaten before coming. The beer lines are much shorter then the food lines, and you only get a small sampling of whatever you're eating. There was chocolate bacon cotton candy, bacon vodka sauce pizza from Two Boots, bacon brownies, bacon mac n cheese (or so I heard), bacon sliders, pork sliders, some kind of pork bun thing, bacon maple cookies. As for the beer, I really enjoyed Abita's Strawberry, Left Hand Brewery's Stranger, Lagunita's A Little Sumpin Sumpin, Flying Dogs Sour Cherry, Ommegang Witte, Sovereign's Apples & Honey, and Two Roads Rye 95 (my favorite: Belgian, rye based, with a 9.4 ABV- this is an awesome beer) There were games, I remember a bouncy castle. There were also companies handing out merchandise and promotions. Uber was giving out bottle openers, sunglasses, and 25% off Uberpool rides; 94.3 The Shark had totes and fake tattoos; and I got a beer cozy from American Whiskey. The booths are set up around the stadium, in the areas where the concessions and bathrooms are. You drunkenly make your way around the circle. Bathrooms were everywhere and the lines for them were short. Music seemed to be mainly top 40. The vibe was really friendly, a party like atmosphere as opposed to a tasting. I met some new people, started a lot of conversations with strangers. Every time someone dropped their glass and it shattered (I saw it happen about 5 or 6 times, one girl actually spilled her beer all over my coat sleeve before dropping the glass to the ground), everyone in the vicinity would roar "Oooooohhhhh" and it seemed to spread through the stadium. While I had fun I preferred the NYC Craft Beer Festival. It's smaller which I like. The lines are shorter, there's access to water, more reasonably sized glasses, and while you have to pay for your food you at least get enough of it.

Couldn't pass up a good deal, and bought two GA passes for 20% off through Groupon. Well-organized craft beer festival, with the added bonus of delicious bacon-themed eats in between! Lines were a bit longer than I was used to, but definitely fewer annoying Long Island bro-types in attendance compared to other similar events I've been to. We definitely had a lot of fun! The boyfriend's favorite part of the experience was receiving whole stacks of jalapeño-infused bacon strips. ;)

Probably the best day of the year. I used to go every year for my birthday and was super depressed when it didn't happen at citified this year. Luckily I just got an email saying it's happening across the street instead. CANT WAIT

    Yana B.

Not as fun as we expected unfortunately. Do yourself a favor and get the VIP tickets so that you can come in an hour before the GA crowd because it gets extremely crowded. Coming in as VIPs gave us enough time to walk around the perimiter trying everything almost twice with absolutely no lines. Once the rest of the people came in at 8pm the lines for every single thing were 15-25 people deep. It was hard to get around at that point. Lines did not move as quickly as the other reviewer mentioned. Also, go on Friday as opposed to Saturday - less people.

$100 gets you in 30 mins early . It includes all you can eat bacon dishes and all you can drink craft beer . Can't go wrong. Honestly , whether you do the GA or VIP it's worth it. Can't wait for next year !

First we got ramen and dumplings. Small cup of ramen.. 3 dumplings not exactly worth the cost but L wanted to try it. The char siu piece was good. Broth was ...ok. They prob use sun noodles. There was something I didn't like. There was a weird aftertaste. Like metallic.. prob the water.. I dunno. L got his usually sugar cane drinks. Just ok for me. Joon was sold out of everything by 9ish.. but the lady still gave us a sample leftover of the beef dish. Should've gone to her stall first. Loved her food my first visit. Very short line to get pepper pot over rice. It was really good... I got it again at the end but they ran out of rice .. definitely needs rice with that sauce. The polish sausage is huge. And the pierogies were good too. I liked the one with jalapeños. A lot of stalls were sold out of items. A lot of people were lined up for tacos and grilled corn. I mean you can get that anywhere... I don't like the skewers from the night market .. I've tried it at 2 completely different vendors and it's either the seasoning that we don't care for.. or it's so overcooked. I get it from a street vendor and it's so good in comparison to what we've tried here. If only she had a stand at the night market. It's not expensive but some of the food isn't that great. It's fun to come check it out once a year but a few of my favorites are no longer there so it's not really worth going..

While Smorgasburg is up to.... what, $20 a plate, that same amount can get you 3-4 tastings from a variety of stalls here that are all more authentic and tasty than what the former can really offer. First visit of the year here so I had to go all out with my buds and we got a Brazilian Steak Sandwich, Pork Intestines (my personal fave), Chicken Curry Roti, Jerk Chicken, Pork Belly, Cheese Stuffed Plantains, Fujianese style Pork Ribs, Vietnamese Lychee Coffee, Pakora, Polish Sausage, Octopus Skewer, and Passionfruit Juice. Overall, most everything was quite good and shoutout to my two favorites that I always get every visit, the pork intestine skewers and the passionfruit juice. I don't know how much longer this place has at its price point, but I know I'm going to milk it for as long as I possibly can and enjoy the flavors this market has to offer to its fullest.

It was not that big, a lot of open space and was freezing outside. Would recommend getting discount tickets. Only took me 40 mins going around and taking pictures... and didn't understand some of their themes e.g. the squirrel robot was very weird! Butterfly wings and castle were nice. The bike wall should have had instructions - peddle fast to light up the wall (unless I missed it). Wasn't that busy or packed the day I went, but very, very cold. Overall, this lantern festival was ok... This event is in the parking lot of CitiField, not inside CitiField. Best to bring a real camera -- if you have a smartphone, better bring portable charger...iPhone batteries will drain very quickly as they cannot adapt to hot or cold weather. Bathrooms are porta-potties. If you want to warm up, go inside the dome tents for food (cash only and cheap) and other things for kids to do. Good to see it once and with a discount, not worth going again.

And like pandas in the wild, it had an insatiable appetite. **Update** When the festival first opened, it was a lot of fun! The ticket price was discounted. Since then, the holiday spirit has clearly departed. Instead, it's been replaced by crowds and an overpriced venue. Yes - you have to pay for the food plus the ticket, parking (if you have a car), the ball room, souvenirs, and basically anything there. If you purchase a ticket on site, they even added a surcharge to credit card purchases. Remember to bring enough cash. The additional items add up quickly, and can easily reach 100$ for a family. That's a lot of green dollars - not leaves - for a Panda festival!

I found a few mentions of it online but no official website, it's apparently organized by the Queens Public Library and I did spot a table giving out free books. I uploaded some photos of online mentions of it to prove to Yelp it exists! The street fair is small, maybe five blocks, and consists mostly of affordable jewelry, toys, clothing, shoes and bags. Some if was a dollar store nonsense, but other people were selling everything from rugs to pipes, incense to handmade magnets. The older woman buying a magnet made me smile, "I'm getting the STRAWBERRY, because they're in season". I mean, it's a magnet, but also, it's October. I also saw a woman selling CBD products claiming to provide instant pain relief, another offering vegan soy based candles and soaps. I bought a cute over the shoulder travel bag for just $22. There was the annoying T-Mobile truck, and an Escape to the Caribbean booth which seems a bit suspicious to me. USA Devanand Yoga Center was there. As well as Exit Realty.... But they also had bouncy castles for the kids on one of the side streets. It was cool seeing them underneath the elevated 7 line tracks. Suddenly an older woman grabbed me and started rubbing my shoulders before directing me to a bunch of massage chairs (she was definitely someone's grandma, it was cool). I'm so primed to just so no but then I instantly thought, ya know what, I DO want a massage. $15 for 15 minutes, money well spent. They put a clean paper towel over the part of the chair my face rests on without me having to ask and were very friendly. It wasn't the best massage I've had, but it was great for the setting! Food options were limited. Queen Big Candy Apples, Ecuadorian grilled corn, Cane Man (cane juice), Zeppole/funnel cake guy, Mozzarepas (mozzarella grilled in-between corn bread), cotton candy out of an adorable tiny pink truck, Panaderia Tlaxcalita - selling lemonade and fruit juices, the sausage and pepper guys, and Athens Delight doing lamb gyros, and beef and chicken kebabs. This was the place I ended up ordering a lamb gyro from, with lettuce, onions, tomato, and tzatziki sauce. For $10 this was super filling, I couldn't even finish it. It tasted a bit like sausage but sliced long and thin, really moist and flavorful. The festival was a nice walk, a fun last minute thing to do, I definitely enjoyed myself. But right now it's small enough that I wouldn't tell people to make a pilgrimage for it. I'd like to see them bring more local restaurants from the area to sell their food, or even some of the regular street vendors who work in that area. Two porta potties, pleasent surprise!
