The fleischkäse brötchen is my favorite thing & was one of the first things I wanted when I came home! It was to die for, literally. Entering this Konditorei we were greeted with an attitude unfortunately all too common for Germany:…read moreit was 17:15 and the first thing the attendant had to remark when she realised we were going to have tea was that they would be closing at 18:00 - so we shouldn't be surprised when asked to leave at that time. Thank you so much for this heartfelt welcome! The tea room was small and almost cozy, were it not for the horribly bright energy-saving bulbs above each table. Anyway, the cakes looked and tasted great, so it was worth a visit for sure, since this was the reason we went there in the first place. Also, they serve Lavazza coffee, which I do like. I would visit this Konditorei again, but only to take the cakes home. Note: My rating relates only to the quality of the cakes.

It was delicious with soft, moist cake and creamy cream cheese icing. There are some tables inside to eat there or it's possible to take away. Highly recommended!

The disclaimer that the cake may differ from the photo does not justify replacing fresh fruit with a cheaper alternative. Fresh strawberries are more expensive and feel more premium -- otherwise I could have just bought a frozen cake. The writing on the cake was sloppy and uneven. On top of that, the bottom of the cake box was dirty, and I ended up getting chocolate on my trench coat while carrying it. Poor quality, poor attention to detail, and careless packaging.
