I booked an appointment at Allure Medical with Ashley Collinson after seeing an advertisement for discounted Botox. During the consultation we discussed Botox specifically and the results I was hoping for. At no point was any other product mentioned. The surprise came when I went to check out and mentioned I planned to use my Alle gift cards, which are specifically for Botox rewards. That's when I was informed that I had actually been injected with Xeomin, not Botox. The explanation I received was that Botox is used as a "general term" in the aesthetics industry and that many people think Xeomin works better anyway. That explanation would have been much more useful before the injections. Patients have the right to know exactly what product is being used on them. Learning about the switch only after the procedure was not the level of transparency I expected. When I called Ashley afterward to discuss my concerns, the conversation quickly became defensive and unprofessional. Instead of addressing the situation calmly, the tone became combative and she referenced personal details I had shared during my appointment in a way that felt inappropriate and unnecessary. I attempted to contact the office manager as well, since the location is convenient and I had hoped to establish a long-term relationship with the clinic. Unfortunately, I never received a response. If you choose to go here, be very clear about exactly what product is being used and ask to see the vial before anything is injected. At the end of the day, when someone is injecting your face, honesty shouldn't be negotiable.
