Wow! What a wonderful place for children to play or to have birthday parties. This playground…read morereally is well equipped to handle a variety of age groups and skill levels. It's fenced all the way around, has toilets (that get locked at night), a drink fountain, a beautifully shaded table area and a variety of play equipment....even one of the good old 'round-a-bouts' is still there! All of the play equipment has rubber ground and there's even a lawn area for those who would like to flick out a picnic rug. Perhaps the only downfall (and not a huge one at that) is that it butts right up against the train line so every now and then you have to yell for about 15 seconds. There's no shade cloth over the play equipment but most of the tables are in the shade and there's naturally a lot of trees in the area so it could just be in the middle of the day that it gets direct light. The whole area is wheel chair accessible, even the toilets. The lawn area could be a little hard for wheels though, it tends to get a bit dippy and bumpy. *No dogs allowed*

Now THIS is a place brimming with charm…read more My favourite part is the faded welcome sign. It feels like the secret garden, only it's not a secret! Which might dampen the appeal, somewhat. But there's a reason it's called a 'playground' and not a 'park'. There's a great variety of play equipment. It's very, very difficult to get bored with the play equipment here. And if you manage it, challenge achieved! Then you can go straight back onto being interested again. Because of the focus on play equipment, it may seem there's a lot less to do for parents and other attendees. Perhaps this is true. Unless you're a badass like me, who likes to ruin the fun all the kids are having by having more fun yourself. And the toilets are okay too, I guess.

Best of all and what it makes it 5 star worthy, it really does have all the age groups covered. Plus it's a place you can organise a whole day out becuase it has toilets! And GREAT toilets. So good I have done a separate review just on the toilet as it is so worthy!!!! You have to go read about the toilet http://www.yelp.com.au/biz/public-toilet-north-plympton There is a large open grassed area. There is a sign that says no hard ball play on the area though so cricket is out but with tennis balls it would be okay. They also have a basketball area and tennis court. On top of that there isa fantastic playground with heaps of different area's and activites as well as a Liberty Swing. It is a fully fenced swing made with wheelchair access. It's the most fantastic thing I have ever seen at a playground. It's so good to see children with disabilities being included with a special swing even they can use as well as disabled toilet facilities. They have BBQ's, plenty of seating in the shade of the trees and some more seating under a shelter in the centre of the park. Drinking fountains work! Rubbish bins on site as well. Only minor confusion about this park is that there is a doggy bag dispenser in it, I have seen heaps of people walking through here with dogs and there is a sign at the park itself that says dogs not allowed within 2 metres of playground. Yet when I look up the Council's website it says dogs are prohibited on this Reserve. Then why contradict yourselves with doggy bags and signs??????

There's tennis courts, a basket ball hoop, a drinking fountain, shelter for spectators at the tennis courts, sheltered table closer to the playground, BBQs, toilets and a mechanical swing for those children in wheel chairs. Not to mention the large lawn area where you could spread out a picnic rug or set up a friendly game of footy. This is certainly an area where you could spend many hours with friends and family but make sure you pack other things for the children to play with....I'm not sure if the playground would amuse them for the whole time. *Dogs allowed (not in playground area) *Drinking fountain* *Shelter* *BBQ's* *Tennis Courts* *Basketball Hoop* *Toilets*

I was completely shocked and excited when I saw this place. The playground has been well thought out to provide different activities for different age groups. It's NEW equipment! I wish it was rubber floored rather than bark chipped but hey, you can't have it all. There are toilets, a BBQ, table/chair areas under the shade of trees, a drinking fountain AND the playground itself is fully fenced. For such a small space, the City of Unley really has done a great job in providing a wonderful space for the community. You can tell by the number of photos how excited I was hehehehe. If you are in the area and you HAVEN'T used this space, you are doing everyone a dis-service, especially those of us who don't live close by and would love to have a place like this. *Dogs allowed (not in fenced off playground)* *Drinking fountain* *Toilet block* *BBQ* *Table/chair area*

That's the defining characteristic of the park. Of course, it has all the other necessary features of a park: shade, tape, barbecue, toilets and playground. It's a great local park, and one I've had the opportunity to visit often 'cause I regularly house-sit for a family that lives just around the corner. If you live in Everard, turn the television off and check out the local scenery. It'll be good for you.

My only concern is its on a lake so the little kids need constant supervision as the playground is missing a gate, but the plus of this is the duckies, swans and other native birds. The playground would suit a variety of age groups although there isn't a great deal for the teenagers. The entire playground is fenced with a bark chip floor. Close at hand yet out of the fenced playground is a table/chair area (shaded by trees), a BBQ and a drink fountain. There are also electronic toilets not too far away. What this area is lacking is some shade. My goodness I felt hot and uncomfortable just looking at the place. I would recommend adults to check the equipment before little ones get their hands onto equipment that is too hot. There is also a very pretty area to feed the ducks and tennis courts to work on your back hand. *Dogs allowed (not in fenced playground)* *Drinking fountain* *Electronic toilets* *Table/chair area* *BBQ* *Tennis Courts*

This completely fenced playground is entirely rubber floored under the play equipment. There are BBQs both inside the fenced are and outside the fenced area. There are tennis courts and drinking fountains. Across the 'driveway' there are toilets and a basketball hoop. The only reason why I didn't give this park a five star rating is that I usually like to see equipment designed for all ages where as this area is definitely directed at the little ones. Taking photos was a little hard. There are ALWAYS people here and I didn't want to be intrusive. Hopefully you can get a fairly good idea from the photos included. *Dogs not allowed in fenced area* *Drinking fountains* *Tennis courts* *Table/chair areas (some sheltered)* *BBQ's*

There's lots of shade sails, tables, benches and trees. On a warm summer's morning all of these were greatly appreciated. It's fenced, and there are some creative pieces of play equipment, including a big tyre swing and boat which were both very popular with the smaller members of our party. There are toilets, taps, and even a tennis court, with plenty of parking nearby. It's easy enough for the grown ups to chill out and chat because the kids are so busy enjoying themselves. The only negative is that is can get very busy. On the other hand, it gets busy because it's good, so I hesitate to deduct a star for that. Recommended, especially for the under 8s.

This playground is fully fenced and the entire space has a rubber flooring. There is a drinking fountain, tap, table/chair and BBQ all within close proximity to the playground. Unfortunately there isn't any shelter/shade over the table but with the massive gum trees in the park, there is some shade depending on the time you visit. This is a great place to come but for me, it slightly falls short of my 'destination' playground status. Maybe I'm having a bad day lol. There's PLENTY of space to kick a ball or throw a frisbee outside of the fenced playground area. *Dogs allowed* *Drinking fountain and tap* *Table/chair area (not sheltered)* *BBQ* *Toilets (walking distance)*

My kind of park is one that has a great moat of green protecting a toilet right in the middle. Nothing else actually matter. And a drinking fountain too? Benissimo! There's a wide area and plenty of space to play with balls. There's your usual playground. There's a barbecue. And that's about it. But there's nothing more you need. Of course, there could, perhaps, be a little more shade. We're in Australia, after all, not Siberia. But, regardless, this is a nice park. If it's your local park, it's worth being proud of.

There's also a toilet block on site, sheltered table/chair area near the toilets and lots of trees to cast shade over the some of the lawn. There was a larger family/group enjoying the park while I was there so the photos of the play equipment aren't as detailed as normal but there's rubber flooring under the whole of the larger play area as well as the swings. The entire park and equipment look quite new. I wasn't sure if the family that were there were near a BBQ and I think there was at least a tap near the toilets....but I couldn't be sure. Coolest secret playground ever…read more The atmosphere is the key, here. With the right sun, the shadows of the leaves sprawl out in a magical display. Oscar Wilde once said that all art is quite useless, but THIS art is not, you see. The beauty of the overhanging trees is also a protection against the sun. Aha! Take that, Wilde! The playground is great, particularly since there are two of them. This means the little kids don't have to miss out, and the parents don't have to suffer any heart attacks watching their little child get squished by bigger children. Also, for those of you who've read all of my reviews (there's probably thousands of you), you'll know by now I'm a toilet lover. And Dora Gild, of course, has toilets. Boo yakasha.
