I've never been to Bach Hair as a full-paying customer, as I'd always go there on their "training" days when apprentices use people to practice on. I would never go anywhere else for an apprentice cut (I've heard bad things about the Brisbane School of Hairdressing), but at Bach Hair there's a great teaching atmosphere and their apprentices seem extremely well taught and well supervised.
If you're interested in having your hair done by an apprentice at Bach, their training days happen every second Monday and you can get on the list simply by calling up, telling them what kind of hair you have and what you'd like done and an apprentice will call you if you match their needs.
Cuts are free, but colours and foils cost from $20-40. If you're wanting both a cut and colour, it's likely that you'll have to go in on separate days and possibly with two different apprentices, but if you're a student or have flexible work hours, this works fine.
I was almost always happy with the cuts I had at Bach and if I had more money, I would definitely go as a full-paying customer. The price of a cut starts at $110 and foils from $67. The salon is beautiful, service is great and their hairdressers well-trained. Highly recommend. read more
