They truly captured the essence of who we are as a couple and as a family, from beginning to end. We knew the place we chose (mountain top) was beautiful on its own, but they managed to find even better spots and more incredible shots than we could have even imagined. What looked like an ordinary golf course and bench, for example, turned into this gorgeous fall foliage field. They experimented with drones, giving us these unreal artistic shots, but the heart of who they are was taking photos of our special moments -- tears, laughter, love, dancing and all. And they froze their butts off with us to get it done in unseasonably cold weather! Plus, damn, they are well-oiled machines, with such organization and precision to make sure we got all the photos we wanted without having to spend a lot of time away from the celebration. We could not recommend JPG Photo & Video enough. So many people have already commented that these are hands-down the most beautiful wedding photos they've ever seen. Kind, personable, organized, professional, creative and artistic.

Choosing a photographer for a wedding is a big decision because your photos will be long-lasting…read moremementos of the day, and also because there are a lot of variables (style, quality, personality, price, etc.). We loved the photos we saw on JPG's website and their commitment to customers was clear from our very first conversation with Joe. We worked together to come up with a price/package that met our needs and chose Matt Bender as our primary photographer. Our engagement session gave us a chance to get to know Matt and for him to know us. When the big day came, we felt very comfortable with him and he (along with 2 other photographers) did a great job managing our family and bridal party for group shots. Many guests commented that our photographers were awesome throughout the evening. This skill should not be overlooked when you are evaluating a wedding photographer! In the end, we were thrilled with the quality and variety of pictures. The photo journalistic style captured the true essence of the day and there were a lot of really fun shots. To top it off, all of JPG's wedding packages include a DVD or thumb drive of high-res images with personal use rights - which means you have full flexibility when it comes to albums and prints. Bottom line: JPG brought the style, quality, and personality we were looking for at a competitive price. They were easy to work with from start to finish and we could not have been happier with the results.

They worked with me to finalize the details and the final quote was in line with what I was looking for and very competitive. What impressed me the most was the professionalism of the studio across the board - working with the owner on the timeline, working with the photographers each day, and the speed of the final deliverables. The studio even made some adjustments on a group photo to remove some items and enhance it. Prior to the start, the owner created a very detailed timeline of the event for each photographer and a group text to keep everyone informed of any changes or to handle any issues. The photographers themselves were great! They were not obtrusive, quick to respond and did a great job capturing the spirit of the event across the 3 days. To summarize, what impressed me was: - Timeliness on quoting and response rate - Excellence of staff - Coordination of staff - Punctuality and professionalism - Quality of the final product Please consider them for your next event.

I had avoided doing so because I understand how hard it can be for small businesses, especially in the wedding industry, and I do not leave negative reviews lightly. That said, the request brought the experience back, and I feel it is worth sharing for other couples. We originally booked J & J Studios during lockdown in 2020 for our April 2022 wedding. In January 2022, after I received a serious medical diagnosis, my husband and I had to postpone our wedding to October. Our venue and every other vendor worked with us, requested reasonable documentation, and did not require additional payment. J & J handled things differently. We were told we would need to pay a new deposit to hold the new date, plus an additional fee because they were unlikely to rebook our original date. We were told that if they did book it, the extra cost would be refunded. With significant medical bills at the time, that added cost was not feasible. For context, about two months after we postponed, I had a friend inquire about our original April date, and she was told it was booked. I wish the experience had been different. We were willing to meet them in the middle as far as the additional payment given the circumstances but they felt they could not at the time. I understand that businesses have policies, but during an already difficult and emotional time, we were left feeling unsupported.

Lindsay's talents as a photographer speak for themselves. I mean, go to her portfolio. Like ... come one. Extremely evident that this woman has mad skills. I knew from her work product and IG stalking that Lindsay was extremely talented. What I didn't know? Lindsay has an incredible knack for making people feel comfortable, at ease, and free to be themselves. My wife and I aren't really into photos lol. We don't post a whole bunch to social media and my other half in particular doesn't always enjoy being in the spotlight. Lindsay was so much fun throughout. She felt like a friend or a family member who cared as much as we did about having some good snaps of these important memories. We used Ginger Fox Photography for our engagement photos, our rehearsal party, and the wedding. It's perhaps one of the best choices we made in our vendor hiring. Lindsay is organized, meticulous, and is so obviously experienced. Sometimes we'd be like ... let's do this! And she'd be like, I like that but here are some things to think about based on what I've seen. (SO HELPFUL!) She'd listen to our ideas and always try to make it work. Inevitably on our wedding day, everyone was pretty high-stress. Between our shots she'd tell us to breathe and relax and it was incredibly helpful. She managed our family portraits (two very large and very squirrely Irish and Italian families) like a pro. When we got the photos back we were almost in tears to see how beautiful they turned out. Five stars. A+. If you are considering another photographer your search is over. Lindsay Ladd wins everything.

He knew how to compose shots and make them look great. But most important, the pictures came out wonderful! Finally, his fee was completely reasonable and appropriate to the occasion (unlike other photographers we contacted who said they had a minimum wedding fee whether or not it was a large, standard wedding event). I would say he exceeded expectations, and made it a super comfortable low-stress process. I would 100% hire him again!

What we envisioned and what we ended up with was literally a million-fold better - and that is not an exaggeration. Mike spoke with each of us separately prior to the shoot and then we set a time and date for the shoot. Mike suggested the Philadelphia Art Museum during the 'golden hour' at the end of the day. I cannot even begin to tell you what a fantastic time we had with Mike and the actual shoot was an amazing experience full of fun and laughter. The photos were taken all around the Art Museum and Schuylkill River area and while it was a busy crowded day; Mike managed to frame the shots so it looked as if we were the only one there. Many have asked if we cleared the area for our photoshoot because of Mike's skillful photography. The resulting images were also amazing and instead of one framed photo, we ended up with a beautiful 6 foot collage of photos printed on metal that is now a prominent art installation in our home. We also ended up choosing fifty (50) - yes, FIFTY - of the images Mike shot that day for our collection. Mike absolutely did a fantastic job and created amazing works of art out of two ordinary people who have been together for twenty years. Everyone who sees the photos and knows us always says that the photos are "absolutely you guys". I should mention that we are a gay male couple and Mike was very comfortable with us as we were with him; he is very easy to work with and truly one of the most laid back photographers I have known - and I have known many. I would wholeheartedly recommend Mike Allebach to any straight, gay, trans-gendered or any other flavor of person for any photos they may want from boudoir to personal to professional.
