I loved this place when Susie owned and ran it, as a new mom both for purchasing and consigning baby items. I have never felt inclined to give a bad review to any local business, but shoot, the last time I stepped in there it verified that I will never step foot in there again. Perhaps I'm spoiled by Main St. Kids in Nevada City and the way they treat me. But honestly, it matters to me whether the staff is friendly. Friendly customer service is key. But here, they act as if they'd rather be sitting home watching TV. I think I walked in lugging 2 bags of toys to consign with a wrapped broken ankle, and I was one day after the official consignment day. Nope. She wouldn't have anything to do with me. I'm sorry, but in an empty store, you can't make any exceptions and quickly look through my 2 little bags? It's just night and day between this store and Main St. Kids. And this owner and the last owner. A bit of advice for this owner: If you want to stay in business, you might want to consider treating your customers (who are key to making your business thrive) with some respect and a friendly smile now and again. read more
