Read about this place and decided to try it when walking around the square looking for dinner. Monday night about 17:45, place was more than half full, good sign usually. We wanted to try 2 different dishes and share. First ordered the Kartacze, and before we got farther, the server said she had to check if there were any left, luckily there was 1 portion which is 2 pieces. They were great, may not be for everyone, similar to Pyzy, but much stickier. Large, water boiled, potato dumplings with meat filling on the inside, sticky semi gelatinous deliciousness. These are served with pan sautéed bacon and cornichons. Then we also wanted the Czulent, but were informed that they were already out of that, too bad. So the server suggested the Babka with mushrooms. This was ok, nothing to rave about, but was different and so I would say to try it if you like to try different things. It is a soft consistency, maybe a bit like a loose savory bread pudding , but it also is potato based, and has the mushrooms in it. Simply served with a side of sour cream. Like I said, maybe order 1 for the table so everyone can take a taste, but I probably wouldn't make a meal of it. Looked like they had beer on tap and also regional bottled beers. Big selection of teas. I noticed on the desert menu they have Senkacz. This is a regional item that is time consuming, batter is dripped onto a rolling pin that is spinning near a heat source and as each layer cooks, more batter is dripped on creating a unique look and taste. The wait staff was great, friendly. Place was clean, restroom situation a bit confusing. This place takes your order at the table and brings your check at the end to your table. This always gets me in Poland, never know when I have to walk up or not. Recommended, Enjoy! read more
