My baby just graduated from Jackie's class and we are super sad the class is over. As a first time mom we (my daughter & I) learned so much! A nice clean space for the babies to play while us parents learned what to expect while our little ones grow up. Not to mention the wonderful mommies I met and got close to. Don't waste your money! Jackie is mean and rude. Her first class she comes off nice and knowledgeable. She give your papers at the beginning of each class. Most of her stuff is old..news articles from 1997 or 2003. If someone says something current she is taken back and usually disagrees or doesn't like what has been said. During class she expects you to remember things she says while you have a newborn on your lap. It's not on the 1997 papers she hands out. Next, she plays favorites. It's like high school. She likes some people in the class and not others. It feels like she picks out who she would think is cool and is mean to everyone else. She is nice on days that she tells you to renew her session. She doesn't want your mom or nanny to come to class which is annoying especially if you have a newborn because there's a good chance you're with either or both daily. Her absent and makeup rules are impossible. You're allowed to miss 2 classes for the session (10 classes). This is tough because you have a newborn which has no schedule and babies sometimes cry in the car which either makes you extremely late or completely miss the 45 minute class. She allows you to makeup the sessions you missed before the end of the session, NOT AFTER. What about people who miss sessions 9 & 10 and don't renew? She makes you feel like an inadequate failure of a person and parent. She makes parenting sound like a task, not a beautiful gift. People say they make friends at her class. You can make friends at other classes or LA mommies or pump station or the library free classes. Save your time, money, and sanity. read more

We've been taking this class with Jackie since my son was 3 months old and it's been such a big help! She has a wealth of knowledge and the activities and songs are so sweet and easy to replicate at home. I continued to the next series and I like seeing how the activities have changed and adapted for the new age range! I also cannot stress how much I appreciate how meticulously clean the space is!! They take infant health so seriously and it's so refreshing after seeing so many grubby places for kids around town. Also all of the moms have been really sweet which is an added bonus :) So happy we found this class. read more

My daughter and I have been taking Jackie's class for the past 5 months. Jackie's curriculum is based on your child's age, so the subject matter is always pertinent to what you and your baby are going through at that time. Subject matter ranges anywhere from feeding, to sleeping, baby-proofing, separation anxiety, to how to pick a suitable pre-school for your child. Although one may argue that Jackie just supplies you with information you can get out of a book, what is unique about Jackie is that due to her countless years of experience and high education, she teaches the parent how to go about supplying these basic principles, but also gives deeper insight on how to do so WITHOUT emotionally or psychologically hurting your child. She guides you into what things we hear as parents need to be taken seriously, and what things are just a fad, all backed by years of research and her first hand experience. To me, Jackie is not only running a business, but she is supplying the us with helpful information which functions as a tool for us to become better/smarter mothers which will help us raise happier children. I took Jackie's class many moons ago and I can say it was overpriced, overrated, not so helpful and unrelatable. Jackie is an egomaniac and rude like other reviews mentioned. Everyone says it was a great way to make mommy friends. Not for me. Everyone in the room thought they were an A list celebrity or valley socialite. I will never forget the day one of the moms opened up saying she had a terrible day. My ears perked up because I was struggling with sleep deprivation, breastfeeding and troubles being a new mom. The woman's issue? She had to "fire her personal trainer." Another topic was- traveling in NYC with a baby- to get limo service or not. I could not make this up if I tried. I grew up in LA around all kinds of affluent people but this was a scene. Not my scene personally. I met great mommy friends further down the line through another very cool and down to earth playgroup. Everyone made such a big deal about getting in this class. I wouldn't recommend it at all. read more

Jackies class is great, she has rules but doesn't everybody?? You learn a lot of helpful tips and information. It's a fun, safe and very clean place. It's a great motivator to get out with your baby and go learn about your baby with other moms who have babies born the same month so you are all going through the same things together. There is free parking which is very convenient and so important with a newborn. read more

Great place to start as a new mom. You will meet lots of new moms just like yourself and make friends. I was always excited to go to class because it would get me and my daughter out of the house. It helped my daughter be a bit more social too. In terms of Jackie's curriculum, there was a lot I got out of her class and a lot that you can just google. She gives you all the basic and important information to get you started on baby proofing, feeding solids, basic disciplining, etc. She even introduces you to all the schools in the Los Angeles area and gives a synopsis of what she has heard and knows about them to give you a jump start. She doesn't go into extreme depth though because the class is only one hour long. However, the best part is that she is always available to help you with personal issues during your enrollment as well as after your child graduates. It was always good to know I had someone to lean on. Jackie is very nice and very realistic, which I appreciate. You need to contact and sign up for this class as soon as you find out you are pregnant as it fills up very fast!!!!!! read more

I'm happy I started taking these classes here. I have learned a lot about my child and what to do or not to do with my baby, what's safe and what's not, developmental phases, sleeping, eating schedules, and a lot more so far just from the first session! What's great is that everyone in the class was born in the same month so you go through milestones with all the other moms and you can share your problems or issues with everyone else to see how they dealt with it. I've signed up for session two and you stick with the same people each session so the babies become friends too! It's really cute. Class is an hour long, although I wish sometimes it could be longer for certain topics covered. I've heard about other mommy and me classes that are similar but I'm not sure how those are run. read more

Fantastic class! I'm so grateful that Jackie Rosenberg has made her knowledge of baby development and parenting strategies available in a mommy and me format. This class has really helped me make parenting choices that are thoughtful and informed and set me on a parenting tack that I feel confident in. With a new baby, the last thing you'll have time for is reading up on child psychology and developments in child safety so why not let someone spoon feed you the highlights. Reserve your space as soon as you find out you're preggo because this class is staggeringly popular with celebrities and all the who's whos in town and it follows suit that everyone else wants a seat in it too so it fills up fast. read more

The first review is so bogus. Jackie's door is ALWAYS closed - the incident had to have been after class and the mother obviously thought she had it under control. we know our own children! Jackie is the most safety conscious person ever! The kids are VERY safe in the class and the class is very organized and the moms always know where their child is. The fact that the person below did not ever take the class but so ignorantly chose to give it a bad review is just wrong. I took the class and LOVED it. It was the best thing I ever did for myself and my baby. My baby got to play with other babies her own age and I got to meet amazing moms who were going through exactly what I was going through. I could not have made it through my babies first year and 1/2 without her! I recommend this class so highly. This is a horrible center. I was in the shopping center at 11:30 ish this morning and I was walking towards the unit. As I'm walking to the unit a 6month old baby boy is crawling out towards the cement stairs making his way down. I caught him as he was descending to the first step. I started to scream, " where is his mother?". The actor studio next door heard me, they were filling out to see what was happening and as I was looking into the center an older woman was on the phone looking out the window, another woman in the back of the room and another woman with short brown hair in the front not paying attention. Their door is wide open which I might add they are next to a staircase and the room was packed full of children. The gentleman who was from the acting studio was finally able to get the woman with the short brown hair attention and she came out. She came towards me and I have to say I was so worried for this child however she was calm almost as if this has happened before! She picked the baby up and turned her back to me. I yelled at her to shut the door if your not going to pay attention to each child! She walked in and did just that, shut the door. This is horrible, child endangerment, neglect, and the sheer horror of what could have happened to this little boy is mind numbing. I would not recommend this faculty even to my worse enemy! They clearly don't care. read more

I was so excited to take this class as it was my first mommy and me class EVER (my daughter was born Feb 10, 2015) and I couldn't wait for my baby to interact with other babies and I thought I would learn a ton in the process. The price wasn't inexpensive and I really didn't have much to compare it to but in the end, definitely did not get the value I'd hoped and actually this ended up being a pretty disappointing experience overall. Jackie is quite aggressive and rude. She is confrontational when anyone offers up new information that she is not familiar with- (example- one mom was talking about how she has been trying pureed kale with her baby- Jackie's response "Kale?! Who told you it was okay to feed her that?!" Mom: "Um, my pediatrician, it's also available pre-packaged now...the American Pediatric Association...the mommy blogs.." Jackie's response: "Mommy blogs mean nothing- I ignore anything on them."...um okay- you kind of missed the point). She exudes no warmth - she snaps at people- she's just rude in how she communicates to everyone and her information in a few places seemed outdated and/or very "chicken little- the sky is falling". She is quite dramatic and everything is a HUGE danger- barrettes in hair, changing tables, etc etc. I honestly don't know how she stays in business with the way she talks to the moms. She did come up to me after the last class I was in (I actually dropped the last three in the series even though I paid for them) to express concern that my daughter wasn't crawling more and I was actually touched by her interest but after giving it thought, I realized it was too little, too late and I really just didn't think it was worth it to pack my little one in the car and drive over the hill for this experience. read more

Regarding specifically the Twins/Multiples evening class they offer. Unless you specifically want to go over a list of products (i.e. we like X brand of stroller, you'll need X number of diapers and burp clothes, etc.) I suggest you save your $80 and go somewhere else like the cedars-sinai classes for $35 each class (parents of multiples, infant care, breast feeding, etc.). Their classes cover SO much more and with up to the minute research by nurses, PhDs, etc. Regarding this class (not Cedars): First off everyone has to sit on the floor with their legs out (albeit with a back pad). That may be fine for some women pregnant with twins but it was awful for my wife. Secondly a very large portion of the class (remember you only have 2 hours) was reading off of a hand out of recommended products and recommended inventories. Cedars won't recommend a specific brand so if that's what you need and don't care about sitting on the floor go for it. However, for $105 you can take 3 classes at Cedars covering tons of detail on infant safety, breast feeding, diapering, clothing, psychology issues specific to twins (very important!) , LOTs of SIDS data, on and on. Personally I'd rather hear from a nurse (who bakes cakes for the class by the way!) on infant care and safety for 3 hours, from a PhD in Psychology with all twin specific research and published Twin specific books for 2 hours and then 2 hours specifically on breast feeding for $105 all those classes. Versus $80 for 2 hours for what (in MY opinion) was mostly a glorified product review session (with SOME other issues like SIDs but not in NEARLY the same detail). Lower anxiety = Cedars. read more
