However we have a problem with the kitchen backsplash. Our backsplash was installed around August 2016. In April, 2017, 8 months after installation, we noticed that some of the grout had turned dark. We informed and sent a picture to the owner. He sent 2 employees to check it out. We were told, that they will come back to repair the grout but did not come back. We sent another email to the owner and he sent another couple of his employees to check it out. They told us that the sealed grout they used must have been mixed incorrectly by the installer. They told us that they will be back to repair the grout. It's now Dec 6, 2017, 8 months have passed since we informed the owner of this problem and nothing has been done. We are very disappointed that this store won't stand behind their products. We also wrote a review in the Great Floors website and we were informed that they will send our review to the owner and will post it. To date, we haven't been contacted by Great Floors St Thomas and our review of the store has not been posted. I think that they pick and choose what reviews to post. Due to Great Floors inaction, we rate them one star.

After…read morelooking around at all the Big Box stores and realizing most of the hardwood available was from Asia and not Made in Canada... my wife and I made a stop at HF to speak with the owner Larry Haggarty and have him give us a tutorial on every species of hardwood, and they have it all. After selecting 3/4 inch solid white oak which was harvested and milled in Canada, we had his longest serving employee Frank come in to install all 3 rooms including step entrances, framing out cabinetry, closet and fireplace hearth. Not many craftsman and great small business owners left in this day and age, but Huron Flooring is the exception. Pricing $$$ was competitive to everywhere else we looked and the install was "Perfect" ...... if your thinking of hardwood flooring than make your first look at their store.
