We needed early checkin as our flight came early and she made it possible. We were in Suite #2: 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom with fully furnished kitchen; AC including full Washing machine and dryer (in the basement)! I absolutely loved this place. Sylvia (the Mom) was amazing and extremely helpful as well. I believe they can also provide you a parking spot if you need one. The best part about this place is: (1) pharmacy at the corner (2) coop supermarket a few blocks down (train can be taken there as well) (3) so many cute/cool walking stores nearby (4) safe to be out and about ~8/9pm if you're jet lagged (5) train stops a few feet from the hotel. We were able to go around the city with so much ease and comfort knowing we wouldn't have to walk after a long day of walking. This is a family owned place; the family has really made it a homey place. If you get a chance to stay here don't think twice.

We had the business classroom on the lower floor so that we did not have to climb stairs. It was air-conditioned, the only air-conditioned bedroom in the house. The hosts give great attention to detail and cleanliness and are happy to help plan traveling in the area. Highly recommend.

I had a really pleasant stay in Zurich and Hotel Krone played a major part in said experience. I…read morebooked a single room which was of course small, but well laid out for maximum efficiency. Housekeeping was reliable and even left a fresh glass bottle of water in the room each day, which was nice. There was also an air conditioner in the room which was much appreciated in the Swiss summertime. The hotel was also conveniently located directly in front of two different bus lines which made getting around very easy! Only drawbacks that I can think of would really be the lack of inclusions I was provided at other Swiss hotels. They did not provide any bus tickets for the Zurich zone as other hotels did and the onsite restaurant was very expensive (even for Zurich) and no discount was offered to hotel guests. The breakfast is also an upgrade charge which I did add but found the variety to be ample and very tasty. Ultimately a very good stay made better by the very friendly staff!

Next thing you know some locals show up and talk to the staff allegedly to pick up food to go but then they sit down and order a bottle of wine. They eventually approached me and asked to join my table and buy me a glass of wine. They were asking lots of questions about my travels and where my room was in the hotel. Paying the bill got very sketchy, felt like they were trying to get my credit card number off my card and were disappointed I didn't have cash or a purse with me. Whole thing was very suspicious so I got out of there as soon as I paid the bill. The hotel part isn't bad but who knows if the restaurant staff is doing that what else could be going on. Glad I was only here for 1 night and had an early flight to catch.

Was debating between 2 and 3 stars... chose two because there were no real glitches, but it was…read morebasically just a disappointing sad place. Not sure exactly how this place gets its ratings on trip advisor. in general the place is old and everything is just on this side of acceptable. The room and bed are just acceptable, breakfast is just acceptable, reception is just acceptable. It's clean and there were no surprises.
