The building is just breathtakingly beautiful with high ceilings, wooden floors and lots of stucco. The rooms are very clean, everything seems brandnew and well taken care of. I slept supergood in a comfortable bed with cosy sheets and I can report that not all rooms are exposed to street noise;) The hostel staff are just awesome, they are like family and helpful in finding your way around Leipzig. You can have breakfast here for a meagre 3,5EUR as well. Wifi is free (and it works, too!). My only real complaint was that I was on the 4th floor, had a VERY heavy suitcase and there's no lift. It took about 20mins just for me to manage to get up the stairs. This probably won't be a problem for most as I think most people that stay in hostels tend to have backpacks. Hence the term 'backpackers hostel' Anyway, once I finally made it to the room I was pleasantly surprised. I was sharing with 2 friends and the room was very spacious with 3 single beds. There was a little entrance hall where we could keep our luggage and this entrance hall also lead to the large bathroom. The room was very clean and bright and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. A basic buffet breakfast was included in the price and although it wasn't anything special it was pleasant enough and the coffee was good. If you're on a budget, I'd recommend this hostel and believe me, I never thought I'd recommend a hostel to anyone!

I guess if you are by yourself, want more privacy, and plan to stay longer than one night you should rent a room with fewer beds. Besides that, the room and bathrooms (for women) were very clean. They provide sheets and towels. I really liked that they have a patio, where I enjoyed a cigarette after a strenuous 12 hour flight + 6 hour train travel to Germany. (I hate Deutsche Bahn - they are late and unreliable.) Moreover, they have a common area with TV, several tables and chairs, and (YES!) free WiFi. Also, they have a kitchen where you can cook your own food, which is awesome especially if you stay longer. Really, this hostel is one of the best I've ever stayed in. It is within walking distance to the train station and close to central Leipzig - so no worries about that either. Ok, that's it.

Die Umgebung wird geprägt von…read morezahlreichen Restaurants, Cafes und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und architektonisch von sanierten Altbauten dominiert. Hier leben Menschen aller Couleur. Innerhalb von wenigen Minuten zu erreichen sind: Clara-Zetkin-Park, Stadtkern, Universität und Klinikum. Für weiter entfernte Ziele stehen die nur 100m entfernten Haltestellen des öffentlichen Nahverkehrs zur Verfügung. In direkter Nähe vorhanden sind: Banken, Drogerie, Supermarkt, Bäckerei, Apotheke. Das Hostel begrüßt Rucksacktouristen genauso wie Geschäftsreisende. Es werden nur Zimmer angeboten - Küche oder Gemeinschaftsraum sind nicht vorhanden. Um Menschen zu treffen, gut zu essen oder etwas Tischfußball zu spielen, sind unsere Gäste jedoch herzlich eingeladen, unsere Räumlichkeiten im Erdgeschoss zu besuchen.
