I was injured in a freeway rear ender. It was an older vehicle with older tires and breaks that hit me in the fast lane. Injuries progressively got worse. I am still inflicted but they were able to cover my treatments on a lien with various medical providers. I had a very unusual case - two years ago on this day, I was eating a salad at a Mediterranean restaurant: I often ate there (Pita Pita) as a local. This particular day I bit into a olive that had a pit. It cracked my tooth right down the middle , including the root. Needless to say I was in so much pain and very very upset . The next day , I had my tooth extracted and went one year without a tooth (due to Covid the office was closed). After working with the restaurant , the responsible party was the food distributor . Their insurance company was Travelers and I was working directly with the adjuster throughout the whole case. He was very apologetic and nice throughout the whole case. Travelers agreed to pay for all my dental bills. I wanted more- I wanted compensation for pain and suffering for permanently loosing a tooth and having to go one year without one. At the end , they didn't want to pay for any pain and suffering - saying that this case falls under the "natural food" exemption for restaurants. I was referred to two other attorneys who all agreed and wouldn't take my case. Then I was referred Lindsay Burton. She agreed that it also fell under the natural food exemption, however she decided to take the case because Travelers had taken responsibility throughout the case and I had the emails to prove it. She gladly took the case and has been working with them for the last 6 months trying to get me money. She was very responsive, thorough in her explanations, and very knowledgeable.
