The USP (University of São Paulo) is one of the top universities of the Latin America. It has…read morevarious campi in many brazilian cities. In the city of São Paulo, it has the Universitary City campus, located near the Butantã institute, and some others that are focused on a specific study areas (like Law or Medicine). The Universitary City is a really big campus, with lots of trees and buildings. Inside it, there are many institutes, schools and universities that are part of the USP (the School of Comunications and Arts, the Architecture and Urbanism Faculty, the Politecnic School, the Biomedic Sciences Institute, the Geosciences Institute, among others). In this campus, there are also scientific research centers and big libraries, focusing on different sub-areas of the Human, Biological and Exact Sciences. The campus is a good place for knowing people of all types and from all kind of places (there are many foreign students and teachers) and for widening your intellectual horizons. It's also a nice place for sports practice and for cultural events (from shows to book fairs), that happen all year long. The faculties and institutes also promote, all year, parties that are really cool and that I recommend for those who like the nightlife or those who are bored in São Paulo.
