I get that most second hand shops in Munich are like boutiques, and I respect and enjoy that…read moreatmosphere and value the price point that goes along with curating the shop floor and showing selective items. But this sort of second hand fashion means upto 80% you donate still ends up in landfill.
Flohpalast on the other hand sells everything. Ones trash is another's treasure. The prices are cheaper, the shelves are packed from top to bottom and the stock is updated and discounted daily. They value the true meaning and sentiment behind second hand fashion etc.
I think most of these people and second hand organisations forget
1- this stuff is donated
2- it's about reducing waste
3- it's cheap for a reason, the people who buy second hand might not always be doing it out of choice but necessity.
This accessible, kind, welcoming shop is the best charity shop in town because it's the only one that's actually like a flea market!
