They have a robust menu of breakfast and lunch items, and everything we had was very tasty. My bestie did the French Toast with Belgian chocolate drops and whipped cream, which was a sugar bomb, but totally worth it in the end. I wanted to try little of everything, so I did the Canadian platter, which had veg bacon, pancakes, home fries, and scramble (I opted for tofu, but you can do eggs, too). It was all delicious, as was the coffee they freshly brewed and served in cute little mugs. (Mine had chickens on it!) I did subtract a star because the service was not the best. We had our drink order taken by someone else who stopped working the outside tables, and after waiting a really long time for our drinks, we just checked to make sure the order was communicated in the change of servers. The new server got very upset and told us there were 30 people and things took time. Considering the drinks came very quickly after - and with our food - I think there had been a mixup, and I didn't love how it was put back on us. It was also a mad hassle to get our check, but whatever... the food was awesome!

Sure, pancakes and other dishes would be a little more tasty and fluffier had they been made with butter and eggs, but it's good food, considering it's all vegan / vegetarian. More than generous portions. But the wait .... we waited a long time for our drinks, and literally over an hour for our food to arrive. It's a nice place to have a conversation with friends, but not fun when you notice that conversation has become one of waiting and sharing restaurant mess-up stories. Looking at other reviews, this seems to be a recurring theme; won't come back I think.

I've eaten here for dinner four times and was very impressed by the quality and taste of all the dishes and wines. I highly doubt there's much better vegetarian/vegan food in the city, so I could highly recommend this place for dinner, although it is pretty expensive. There's a "special of the day" card on the first page of the menu. I've always ordered from this and was served very fresh tasting meals as a result, so if there's something you like on here, I think it'd be a good call. There's also free bread served with each meal with a side of bean and thyme spread. The chef brings out the dishes herself, which is a nice touch. Altogether, I really like this place and think you should go here if you want a higher-end vegetarian/vegan meal.

I had the risotto with Provence herbs and veggies (zucchini was the most memorable); creamy and cheesy, but still firm and not overcooked. Feels like they might have a copy of the Moosewood cookbook, or something similar. I picked up the peanut and pepper soup and bread as a side --- again, immediately reminded me of the Moosewood. The soup was savory, and the bread was fluffy but still hearty. The owner wasn't impressed by my first guess at a wine, and steered me towards a grechetto which better matched the risotto; I'm fine taking advice from someone who knows wine better, but there was definitely some steering. For dessert, I got the crème catalan --- a cinnamon version of a crème brûlée. Tasty, but a bit puddinglike for my taste, and I would have been happy with half a serving. Many of the other reviews describe it as a vegetarian restaurant, but it does serve a few meat specialties like jamón serrano. Piccolo Paradiso serves the food I cook for myself --- and they do it better than I do.
