Aleksey is a great instructor! My wife and I started knowing nothing about tennis, but Aleksey showed us the basics and step by step we have grown tremendously! Would recommend to anyone who's a complete beginner like us, and I'm sure he can bring insight to whatever your skill level! read more

Alexey is an excellent coach, my daughter has learned so much from him! He challenges his students and is always calm, fun, and professional. We lucked out finding him! read more

Among the best teaching pros you will find on the west coast. Aleksey does it all - he taught and coached up my teenage son from scratch who ended up playing varsity tennis, rebuilt my own game 4.0 with simple yet clear instruction, and works wonderfully with small groups that range from 2.5+. He keeps the game simple but moves you beyond basic baseline and volley technique to raise your game all over the court. An excellent, positive reinforcement coach who makes the game fun everyday. read more

My daughter was trying out for the tennis team at school for the first time and I wanted her to get some intense training to prepare her. (She is 14 and started her freshman year in high school. ) Aleksey was able to work with her on her form as well as her stamina. He made her lessons fun and she was able to get a lot out of her time with him. And she made the team! I highly recommend Aleksey! read more

Aleksey is the real deal and an amazing coach. I'm completely new to tennis so wanted someone to teach me the fundamentals. Aleksey is the best guy for that -- he knows his stuff, explains the concepts well, and has a system to help you build good habits. Working with him is also really easy as he's responsive and flexible. He's also a motivating coach and has a great positive attitude. Highly recommmended for anyone at any level! read more

Aleksey is one of the best instructors I've ever had. I really appreciated his no fuss approach - we got straight into the specific areas I wanted to improve. He took one look at my existing technique and knew exactly what needed to be changed. He also explained things in a way that was very easy to understand and absorb into my game. I would highly recommend Aleksey for all levels and playing styles. read more

Aleksey is a fantastic coach. As someone who has not picked up a racket since junior high, I was able to pick up right where I left off, and build on my game bit by bit with Aleksey's help, with marked improvement weekly. He has a keen eye for details - he can tell you specifically why a ball went long: from wrong grip, to face of the racket, to your swing, which is extremely helpful. Not only that, he's patient, communicates well, and will generally tell you like how it is, which is refreshing. I would highly recommend Aleksey to all levels of tennis player who's looking to improve their game. read more

I'm a 3.5/4.0 player looking to get to 4.5+, and I just started taking lessons with Alexsey. Admittedly, I have little experience with instructors, but from what I can tell, Alexsey is one of the better ones for sure. I've only had a couple of lessons so far, but he seems to know what he's doing. In the first couple of lessons, he's helped me modify my forehand from a WTA-style to an ATP-style, and smooth out my one-handed backhand. What I like a lot as well is that he's very digital-forward. He shares photos and videos of pros doing the exact technical thing that we're working on. read more

I have 2 boys that take private lessons with Aleksey for a year now. They have been playing tennis for 5 years now and love playing with Aleksey. He makes it fun, relaxed yet will not accept anything but perfection on form and drills. My boys have improved so much in tournaments since taking lessons with him. Aleksey himself is an amazing athlete and knows what it takes to be a top performance tennis player. If you happen to get time with him consider yourself lucky as he is very busy and only takes students that are interested in improving their game. read more

Great trainer ! Defiantly would recommend to anyone who want to learn from 0 or improve skills.

Aleksey is a really great coach. He coaches any level player but he does it in a way that is fun and engaging. He also plays at such a high level that it adds a lot to the energy of the drills. I think he is really good at figuring out how each person learns and tailors his coaching to it. And, if you like a really technical analysis, he can break it down further and give you the logic of what he's telling you to do. What I like is that he makes subtle changes to your game even in areas you didn't realize needed improvement. He pushes you to the next level, and that makes playing exciting and motivating. Definitely highly recommended! read more

I learned more in 5 private lessons than I have in the last 5 years. My technique has been turned on its head completely--in a good way! Aleksey is a very non-judgmental coach, which was important to me in finding someone to take me beyond the plateau I had hit. He meets you where you're at, and you can tell that his goal is to genuinely make you a top tier player. His most unique strength, in my opinion, is that he can approach teaching from many different angles--if you don't understand it the first time around, he'll give it to you broken down in a completely different way. This is how he's able to find something that clicks with each individual. Highly recommend! read more

I am a current Harvard westlake high school coach and a 5.5 level player. Occasionally I pay coaches for improvement, usually disappointed. Not only can this guy destroy me in points and keep a solid rally above my level but his coaching is very technical and pleasant. His communication is diverse and relatable. He can provide many ways to think aka many ways to learn so it's easy and exciting. He focuses yet maintains a good fun mood. A good coach or hitting partner for anyone. He can teach people with different styles and grips and how they relate differently. Also as a coach he is flexible as in he can teach to how you want to learn, many coaches get set in their ways and don't respond to your needs/interests. Thanks again. read more

Talented tennis instructor with world class skill, excellent rapport with students and the ability to make lessons fun, challenging and instructional. You're sure to learn, improve and laugh while taking instruction from AZ. read more

Aleksey is the best coach I've had for anything, ever. My wife started lessons with him, then we signed our two kids up (who improved dramatically and very quickly), and then I joined in. I was a college track athlete but never was serious about tennis mainly because the lessons I took seemed to get me nowhere. Then I met Aleksey--who has a style and a method that can make you a strong player quickly. His approach is fun but focused and precisely designed--and based on a Russian Technique that for me and my family has been highly effective. read more

I tried a few different instructors before I was LUCKY enough to find Aleksy. I'm a beginner and just from my first lesson there was a world of a difference form the previous instructors I had tried out. I told myself I'll try a few instructors until I see who's the best and I can confidently say, I found the best and I couldn't imagine finding someone who could break things down for me better! I had light bulb moment after light bulb moment with Aleksy. Everything was just broken down so beautifully that I was easily able to pick it up. He makes sure your form and technique are both on point before moving on and I really really appreciate his attention to detail when it comes to that! I didn't want to write this review because I don't want him to have an even busier schedule, but its the right thing to do! He is the BEST! read more

Aleksey is a true professional. We started lessons with him as adults with little to no experience playing the game, but as fans. He has coached the two of us at once, even though at times we've developed into different skill levels. It's been a lot of fun and also challenging for us as students the whole way. He is always communicative, on time, very COVID safe, and offers actionable feedback in the moment that helps us each improve. We have tried other coaches in the area but once we found Aleksey we haven't had to look any further. If you can get a session with him, consider yourself lucky! read more

I went in with a ton of areas in my game that I wanted to work on. Aleksy completely reworked my game and approach. He teaches piece by piece so I didn't get overwhelmed and it allowed me to put it all together. I've seen improvements in my serve, forehand, backhand, footwork and just overall being more fluid. From a technical standpoint I don't know if there is a better instructor in the Los Angeles area. All the tennis stuff aside he's also a really cool guy. Definitely recommend 10/10. read more

Aleksey is one of the best coaches out there. Just watching him play is motivation enough. He not only knows how to coach but has skills that you see with almost any professional player on the circuit. I definitely recommend him to anyone who wants their game to improve. Great technical instruction that has helped me tremendously. It doesn't matter if you are a beginner or advanced, this is the way to go!

Aleksy is a fantastic coach. I am an adult beginner, and he has such a positive and non-judge-mental approach. He clearly articulates where my strengths are and how to improve. My basic swings did a complete 180 after just the FIRST lesson, which was so rewarding and motivating. Ive been so impressed by how detail oriented he is - picking up on the tiniest adjustments that have a major impact to my swings. He is really helping me build good habits and a strong foundation to be better at tennis. read more

He will meet you where you are at and help you drastically improve quickly. I now feel comfortable playing with coworkers and friends!! Cannot say enough great things! read more

I didn't really know if when searching for the right tennis coach I'd find them on the first try. I DID. Aleksey texted me back, hung in there to find the right practice time, and was exactly what I was looking for in a coach. Kind, professional, and the one session I had was fantastic. I can't wait for my next lesson. read more

Aleksey is a great coach. I've always liked to play tennis with friends but every time I took lessons they bored me after a while and I'd quit. With Aleksey the lessons are so fun I went from a lesson once a week to twice. He's very professional and is strict about form and fundamentals but even during the drills he always adds the element of competition, which I really like. I highly recommend taking lessons with him. read more

Aleksey is best! We came to him after taking lessons for over a year with a different coach. We made more improvements in 3 lessons than we had made in a whole year. Aleksey is really good at breaking down the instruction technique in different ways to help one understand. He is so focus on helping his student get better and is amazingly patient and easy going. Just after a couple of lessons, I was already feeling confident in my ability and my progress has been visible after each lesson. It is the best decision that I've made, just regret that I did not do it sooner. There are tennis coaches and there are 'good' tennis coaches. Aleksey is the latter! Whether you are a beginner (like me) or an advanced player looking to improve your tennis skills, you will see positive result. read more

I have been doing drills and taking private lessons from Coach Aleksey for over a year and I do not feel like my money is wasted. He helped me to get back on tennis after 15 years of hiatus from the sport. He explains very simply and straight to the point when you have any questions. In addition, he is very understanding and professional to his clients. I would definitely recommend any level players to take lessons from him. When you take his drill or private lesson just make sure you are ready to commit 110% for the time because he will commit 110% to make you better during the allotted time. Lastly, the best part is he makes sure your money is not wasted. read more

For the past 6 months, Aleksey has been working with my 14 yr old son. My son was looking to improve his technique and up his overall game...and Aleksey has succeeded in helping him with both....there's still a long way to go but we are definitely on the right track! We've worked with several coaches over the years and Aleksey is definitely one of the best! One thing that sets him apart from the rest is the way he relates to his students. He gives so much feedback and has a way of making learning and improving enjoyable. As a parent, I've found him very easy to work with in terms of scheduling and logistics AND he's been so helpful with questions/advice that have come up on my end. I would definitely recommend him to any level player looking to improve! read more
