This oil company / gas station is a fine place to fuel up and get some beer and ice. It's located at the intersection of the two main streets in town. They keep their beer cold, and their ice colder.
When I visited, I noticed that a ten pound bag of ice is $1.99, and the twenty pound bag of ice is $3.99. I asked why they didn't give a discount on buying twenty pounds. In fact, it's cheaper to buy two ten pound bags of ice and save a penny than to buy a twenty pound bag. I got an eye roll instead of a discount.
I like how the interior walls are made of that cheesy 70's panel board that looks like it belongs in a dive bar. But they have a good quantity of beer that's meant for sitting out on the lake with. Lots of Lone Star, Lone Star Light and the other major beers.
Parking is easy, and they have gas too, of course. read more
