I requested a hair cut with someone who had experience with thick hair, and I got scheduled with Amber. She did a great job with my hair. She was so professional, and really worked with me to figure out what I wanted. I don't know if this is a Kentucky thing, but the one thing that kind of weirded me out was that the shampoo was optional/ separate from the haircut. I've never lived somewhere where they didn't automatically shampoo before cutting. One thing I would like to suggest to the Cowan team, is to focus a little more on hair cutting techniques vs styling. They are great at styling hair, but the blunt cutting does not grow out well, and asking customers to schedule appointments in 6 weeks for "touch ups" is a bit of a turn off.

Jacq is also lovely and kind, and made my mother feel quite special having her hair done in her hospital room.
