Would not recommend Tom Dennis, Awesome Landscape, to anyone. His work was sub par and he didn't finish the written scope of agreement. Wanted his full price halfway through the work agreed to and then started saying he wasn't going to complete the list of work originally agreed to. I ended up having to get someone to finish the work and pay for plants he was supposed to pay for. I wish I had checked his references before I hired him. He has terrible references that have been posted online. I would advise anyone to read his references from others and not rely solely on my experience. Gary P. read more

The owner Tom does NOT pay his bills to suppliers. He did a backyard patio for me and hired a concrete truck to deliver. He told the driver he called and made the payment over his cell phone. He did not pay. The concrete company sent me a bill for $715.00. Tom refused to pay the bill and told them to send me the bill. Tom is refusing all my text messages and phone calls. Tom at Awesome Landscape is a horrible business owner and money manager. And his company has a list of dissatisfied customers. I blame myself for not investigating his company. We hired Tom to redo our sprinklers and he did a poor job. One of the areas in our front yard had not been connected to the system, and the grass died. 4 months later at our insistence he came and connected it. The drip system in front flower beds didn't work until I unkinked the hose, put some fittings in and made it work. The other front flower bed actually appears not to be hooked up to a supply line. Worst of all, there are 4" deep trenches across our yard where we can turn an ankle if not extremely careful. No one should hire this guy, unless you want to pay for work that doesn't get done. read more

I called and asked about having some bushes pruned. They set up a time to come out and get it done but I was not given a price. I stated that I first wanted to find out how much it would cost. The owner was the person who came to give the estimate. I showed him an area in our yard that had no grass due to a play set being removed by the previous owners. I asked how much it would cost to have sod placed in that area as well. After seeing the area needing sodding and the 3 bushes I wanted trimmed I was given a quote of $500. I thought that was pretty expensive and I guess it showed on my face because then he said $400. I still wasn't sure I wanted to spend so much money so I asked how much for just the sod. I was told $150. I told him that I'd think about it and give him a call back. Two days later I called back and told him I wanted to have the sod only done. He stated they could do that and scheduled an appointment with me on the Sunday afternoon before Memorial Day. No one ever showed up and I never got a call. I sat around waiting for 2 hours for them to come. I was really wanting to have the sod placed so I called again on Tuesday after the Memorial Day holiday. I spoke to the owner and told him who I was and asked if they were going to be able to come install the sod. He never even acknowledged not showing up for the appointment on Sunday. He asked when I would like to have it done. I asked if they could do Thursday evening. He agreed. Once again, no one showed up. read more
