UPDATE: I'm back... let me start off by saying HOW HORRIBLE ANA IS!!! I can't stress this enough, I…read morewould say don't come here but Ana would probably love that, she was completely rude off the bat. She was interrupting me constantly and when I would continue to talk she would tell me to "stop, stop, stop" as if I'm some child. She even went on to twist my words in front of me and my lady. When I told her stop talking to me like I'm your child. She then twisted and said "aren't you the one that said you're not immature" she was actually referring to when I said "stop talking to me like I'm your child" which frustrated me even more. She then also went on to laugh at me while I was on the call. So I asked her why the appointment was rescheduled if it was placed months in advance. She responded with "well we're all humans and things happen" ? What kinda of response is that? As a supervisor myself you don't talk like that, especially in the field you work in. She ended up contacting the manger Ms Darlene and although I will say in the her tone was respectful. The words in which she chose were not. She apologized FOR THE WAY I MAY HAVE INTERPRETED ANA. WHAT THE HELLY FR and then she asked me what I was looking to achieve ? And I said "accountability for the way your supervisor is representing you all" and she said (THE FREAKING MANAGER) said I'm not gonna give you the satisfaction. I'm not saying I was in the right but I would die on hill to say that after the first situation and being told misinformation and cancelled on before, that having an appointment set 25 days in advanced just to be canceled and then spoken too by the "supervisor" in that condescending passive aggressive intentional tone was justifiably upsetting!!! Look at the other reviews, Ms Ana has been having negative reviews. Women I won't tell you all to not come here but I will say this. If you're looking for rudeness, belittling and unreliability that this is the perfect place for you !! And I'm sorry to Ms Amy and Ms Dora who are very wonderful and professional, great people and great representation of this woman's haven location. They are awesome at their job. I just hope that the people above Ms Darlene see this and act accordingly on the people that they chose to represent them. So sad that woman have to go to a place like this.

Delighted with this place, looking forward to my next appointment with them, especially with Dora,…read moreshe is such a lovely person. I highly recommend coming here, and once again, thank you Dora

We worked with Abrazo twice in the last 15 years to adopt our children. I am still so very thankful…read moreto have found this agency. I truly do not believe we would be the parents we are without the education they gave us. From the start of going to orientation weekend, they set themselves apart. You have a built in support group with the other couples there. They offer a camp each summer as well that has been such a blessing to our family. We all have bonds that have enriched our lives. Abrazo taught us what open adoption is, and I'm forever grateful for them and the journey they helped us through.

The staff members truly believe in building families who can come together for the sake of a child and they provide numerous resources for education and support. We found Abrazo to be unique through offerings like their online forum - a community of both adoptive and birth families - who come together to lend advice, provide support, and encourage one another through both good times and hard times in adoption. Another unique thing is their annual summer camp where staff, adoptive, and birth families all come together and hang out for a weekend. Abrazo is highly ethical and encourages expectant parent(s) to make their own best choices. They don't ever want a mother to make a choice to place her child unless she comes to that decision on her own. They teach their adoptive clients to respect the expectant/birth parents right from the start and provide ongoing support for birth parents through weekly group sessions in their office to a private online Facebook group specifically for birth parents. They are a small agency and they focus a majority of their energy on working with birth parents (as they should). Adoptive parents should expect to lean on the forum, their fellow orientation group members, or a cost-free mentor that's provided by Abrazo for the majority of emotional support or for the answering of day-to-day questions. The resources that adoptive parents discover during their waiting phase will be the resources they lean on as adoptive parents for many years to come. I can be reached out to directly for specific questions at adoptingcouple@gmail.com.
