We wanted to find a place that was not too big. We wanted to find a place that we felt welcomed, and that people recognized and remebered that we were there the week before. We wanted to find a place that was focused on our community which had opportunities to serve the people in it. We wanted to find a church where the Pastor preached biblically sound lessons that we could apply to our daily lives, we wanted to hear messages that made sense, messages that made us think, messages that were not sugar coated, and most importantly to us, we wanted the Pastor to teach the whole Bible, and not skip over things because it might make us feel uncomfortable, because the truth sometimes is uncomfortable even when it is the truth. My Wife and I have found all that and so much more at Hope Community Church in Dover N.H. We have been going here for a little over a year, and we are honored to call it home. If you are looking for a great church, full of fantastic people who will really care about you. This is the place. Saturday services at 6 PM often include music and Sunday services are at 8 AM and 10 AM in all but July and August when services are at 9 AM. The Rev. Susan Garrity is someone I connect with personally, professionally and spiritually....so does my 95 year old grandmother....simply amazing. This is an amazing place to find the space to explore who you are....ONWARD!

The "pastor" at this church addresses the fact that he frequently discusses money, and says that he just wants to be "transparent". I am a business man, I have seen many cons, and this is one of them! STAY AWAY! This is not the love of God. This is a circus side show. Unless you are interested in being harassed about money and service, this is not the church for you. I will NEVER bring my family back there, and understand why so many people come and go. *** I have also set through a few of their "in home churches." These are better, but still, this is another area where they hit you up for MONEY!

I had my reserves about church, because I had not had a great expierence before. The first visit I had was good. People were warm and welcoming. I went a few more times, and the church was having some major financial issues, which were brought up often during the sermons. There was a lot of pressure put on people on one of the weeks I was there. They needed to raise money for a heating bill and other expenses. I would not return, and would not suggest anyone else go there either.
