one star is not low enough. no words to describe what we went through there with our father -…read morenegative reception from the executive director, social worker, head floor Lpn to the financial office. the reception we got the first day from the Lpn Sandra- I wish my dad had been mobile and had not almost does in the hospital- she was so rude and her aid was too- they treated my dad terribly. the social worker should have her license revoked. so much behind that comment- she was so awful to my dad and me. she is not there to help people. the executive director is clueless - no idea how to act around a person in public. (it's interesting when you look on Google reviews two of the 5 star reviews are from Marion the social worker and Lori the ex director- reviewing themselves!!! hahahah) financial office- needs to learn to listen to the patient and their family- when they say they have secondary insurance that covers 100% immediately after managed Medicare cuts them off. LISTEN!!!!! listen!!!!!!!! LISTEN AND LEARN!!!!!!! your " years and years" of experience do not negate that -YOU CAN BE WROMG AND YOU CAN LEARN!!! simply PLACE a phone call to that secondary insurance and look what tou could learn !!!! you could have made so much money- whixh bottom line that's the name you said!! and also treated us with the respect we deserved. the respect my father earned and is why he has that insurance. needless to say this was a bad 2+ weeks for our father-due to the stress they put on him about his insurance ending payments- he had a relapse and he ended up back in the hospital for 2.5 weeks and then in another facility 80 miles from home for rehab (curious that after this place almost let him die sitting in a chair ignoring him, we couldn't find a bed anywhere near "home") well needless to say, this new place 80 miles away (much stress on our family because of this far distance that could have been avoided) - they listen and they had 3 months being paid 100% by our dad's secondary insurance- starting immediately after his managed health care cut him off and said he should be "well" which he wasn't!! bottom line- all they care about is money- they do not care about the patient and a family that need them. and they need to learn the real way things work- we told them over and over about his second insurance-

The food that is served is fantastic and the cooks cater to special diets as we'll. The apartments are huge and accommodate each and every person living there. It is centered right in the middle of Old Trail community, short walking distance to cafe's, Augusta health clinic, gym, golf course and a whole lot more. At The Lodge there's Peidmont assisted living, Ridges independent living, and Seasons memory care. The health and wellness staff is very loving and caring with each and every resident in all parts! I would definitely recommend The Lodge At Old Trail to my parents and grandparents!

My father-in-law was in rehab he had been diagnosed with dementia and his stay there was excellent. They took excellent care of him while he was there, my complaint is he stayed for a total of 21 days and they said they could not progress any further with him so Medicare was going to not pay any longer, the social worker Monica did not offer any solutions for us other than sending him home with a baby monitor of all things. When a family is in need of solutions I thought that was the job of a social worker was to figure out other facilities that he might be able to go to, we had to figure out on our own that Harrisonburg rehab could take him in and further his rehab not sure why oak lea could not do the same, while we waited for Medicaid to get approved. Come to find out my aunt had the same issue with the same lady about my grandma, when my grandma was in Oak lea for Rehab they were going to send her home without a PT and an OT and a home nurse my aunt threatened her and said if she does not get this stuff and if my grandma falls when she gets home we will sue oak lea for not doing their job. It's sad that this person is employed at such a good facility and taking people's lives at risk and not doing their job.

Everything about it amazes me. Their front desk staff could not be more helpful and friendly. Their therapists are fantastic. Their equipment is up to date and innovative. In the midst of the pandemic, with staff wearing masks and clients being reminded that the law…read morerequires wearing masks, Synergy's owner doesn't wear a mask with clients in the clinic. Makes me wonder what other short cuts are being taken. And this isn't a tattoo parlor, or a nail salon - this is a health services company where people are trying to heal from their injuries. Dr.Li is an excellent surgeon. He correctly diagnosed a spine problem that had caused me to have constant pain for nearly a decade. I had seen 3 other surgeons and a host of other doctors who were unable to help me. He performed a spinal fusion that was life changing for me, and he was so kind and helpful.

My physical therapist was Blake and he was phenomenal. His student intern was Michael who was lucky enough to have Blake as an awesome mentor; Michael seemed to already be a fully-fledged PT although he doesn't graduate until May. I had come here last fall with an unrelated issue and received equally wonderful treatment from Blake, so I returned for a different issue a couple of months ago and found the experience to be as terrific as I had remembered. I highly recommend them--the team works so well together. I actually miss going now that I have graduated! :)
