My severely dementia grandmother I have found eating dinner with feces on her hand 2 times in the last 2 months! Her bed was made up only to have dirt and crumbs all on the sheets. Her wheelchair is so dirty and it takes me saying something for it to be cleaned. Filling out grievances does not help, calling home office/ corporate does not help! The staff to patient ratio is for nurses and CNAs is not realistic! I challenge the home office/ managers to work a cart with 30 patients to pass meds to or 11-14 patients for a CNA and see how it really works! Some staff is amazing but they don't outweigh the bad! The administrator Kala had the nerve to ask me to change my google review when I ask her for visitor info for my guardianship court hearing if she got it to me the same day! I would move her but all the places are not good and I will stick with the devil I know!

I had inquired about the plaza rehab so I can continue my healing process of get out the hospital…read more I asked questions about the facility, about things that I would need that will continue from the hospital to the facility wound vac,room and some of the stuff I seen in the reviews and I asked is their anything else I need to know about they facility. The rep from the facility said no. When I got to the facility, I was not greeted and confused about what was next or what would happen next and was not told much. Before they got me to the room that I was assigned to there is a loud Oder in the hallway that was really very foul. What was said was all good but it was far from the truth. I was left with the wound vac not connected over night. I was told that dinner would be served soon and I asked about my medications. The staff first left out the room and said we will have to see. I was left in the room with only the tv remote and my phone with the door closed. A lot of time had passed ( from 4 something to about 7 something). I tried calling the rehab to find out what's going on and the phone service in their building is crappy , the lady couldn't hear me at the front desk.then I called my grandma and she couldn't understand or it kept going in and out. So I was trying to yell loud as I can !no one heard or came until a while later.they didn't give me the call bell until they came and told them was calling them and got no one. Also I didn't get dinner yet or my medication. I was told that they don't give medication to patients that came to their facility and they go check to see where is my dinner at .How do patients try to recover from surgeries or their injuries without their Medcations. Because they forgot to serve me, I had to eat two half egg sandwich. They gave me a Jell-O and a diet soda. I asked again about my medication. The girl had her supervisor on the phone and she had him on speaker and he said he didn't wanna talk to me give her whatever is on her med list that we have on hand, but that's it. I was told that they had a pharmacy on the premises and then I was told they don't have a pharmacy on the premises, but they do not have a pharmacy on the premises. They have to go out and get the medicine and bring it back to the facility of what was told to me. I also told the lady that my colostomy needs to be empty out and She said I'll be back and left the room and never came back their call Bell look like a gray showering, but it's soft move on one side and ridges on the other side. And on the shift before night shift, you can push that button and no one came, but on the night time, the lady did come to my room when I pushed it . I was in pain so I was starting to rock one of my legs and realize the bed isn't safe and the bed would rocks to. my colostomy bag did not get empty until that morning when it was very full, and I felt itchy on my skin because it sat on me. The lady came in to empty it with a gray little pan that you bring to the bedside to wash them. She empty my bag into that I told her I need to be turned to try to minimize my pain because I haven't gotten anything and I'm hurting real bad. She did not change her gloves. She came out of the bathroom. She touched the table and proceeded to Finna to Touch me . I asked her is she going to change her gloves ? By the then, the table was contaminated and I didn't want anything that was on that table. She changed her gloves and then turned me. I was not bathe at all. they didn't have the proper stuff to care for a patient. I told them that I have not been hooked up to the wound VAC yet ! I was told that I came to the faculty in the evening time that they would have the wound vac machine before night . she said she was going to let the morning staff know about it. That morning I was for got about again for breakfast again. Their rules are very weird there if you're on a diet when you're at the hospital and you come to them their diet is a little bit different and they had me on the wrong thing. I am just gonna to say this they will let you swallow pills but you have to See the speech therapist before you can swallow food, and the only reasonable explanation they can give me is some people can swallow pills easily, but have trouble swallowing food. You'll be more difficult swallowing pills of taking down pills then swallowing food that is crazy and very absurd to me. How they test you is with a sandwich. Remember I ate a sandwich that night. SMH They wanted to take the wound VAC line off of me without no pain medication because it hurts real bad to change it out. The pain from the wound , my back & mid back and leg. That to much. They want to put dry too wet on it until they get the wound vac and I told I told them no at first because it hurts real bad when it's changed out they need to give me something before they do that. they finally gave me something for the pain but they came back in said they don't know when they're going to get the w

My family had a good experience at this medical center in Gainesville, FL. My mom was part of their…read morenew blood cancer program, I believe she was their first patient going through it at this hospital. I was not there. My mom and dad were there and stayed in the hospital room for two weeks. Nurses and doctors taking care of them were very helpful, patient, supportive, and welcoming. Only complaint was the food. The chicken was uneatable, not even my dad would eat (He eats anything hahaha). But yes, the food was decent, just not the chicken. The staff did their best to accommodate to my mom and dad's food selections. Overall, my mom and dad were very pleased with the care provided by their team of doctors and nurses. Thank you for taking care of my parents!

This hospital is a disgrace. I have had only had bad experiences here. Misdiagnoses, wrong…read moremedications, terrible reactions to meds not recognized, wrong diagnoses not corrected, paternalistic dismissive attitudes galore from doctors, nurses and managers. Some staff have been brilliant and kind but they could not make up for all the ghastly experiences I have seen at first hand or suffered myself. When I tried to talk about my concerns I was stonewalled. I understand medicine is difficult and stressful but this hospital adds insult to injury. Literally. O stars if I could.

The front desk person had me fill out one double-sided form for personal details and medical history. I was sitting under the TV which was stating a movie which was distracting me from form filling so I asked if they could mute it for me and they did. I put my preferred name on the form and said "please call me Ocean". They took my copay, and by the time that was done a nurse called for Ocean and took me back and got my vitals. Dr Cunningham saw me and quickly identified the right treatment for me and sent it to the pharmacy. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend either emergency physicians medical center location, I've had great experiences at both of them. They're friendly, considerate, professional and I was seen in a very reasonable amount of time.
