Had great service. My husband was also under RDE and trusted them and said he was impressed. He was waiting for a angiogram. But It turned out he needed a quadruple bypass and soon. They kept writing to us and asking us shall we take you off the list it's only for a stent at the worst and it's not really necessary. Luckily we stuck it out and said no we want the angiogram and stent if needed as my mother in law died of heart problems. After RDE realising it was much more serious after doing the angiogram, they referred us to Plymouth and who were amazing and said my husbands treatment was not acceptable, he could have died while waiting and was waiting 102 weeks for an angiogram Plymouth had him in within three weeks and at the stage of his bypass they were still waiting for paperwork and health history from RDE so we told them everything they needed to know and they had no idea my mother in law had died from heart problems and heart problems are in the family. The RDE hadn't told them. This is totally unacceptable, they are playing with peoples lives. Even after complaining we haven't heard anything from them whatsoever.

Car parks bit pricey, need to take plenty of change with you if you want to park on site. Operates a park and ride service (current cost about £1) with buses running every 12 minutes or so from a secure car park, from 7am to about 9.45pm Monday - Friday. Covers all medical areas (except for Psychological) Very good website with information on all wards. Gives information for patients going into the Hospital. Gives recruitment information including listing all available vacancies. Gives information on contact details. Smoke free site - no smoking permitted anywhere including the car park and grounds.

Be prepared for a wait as they quite often run late but this is the price you pay for the service. They offer a full range of dental treatments and take NHS and private patients (don't know if they are still taking on NHS patients.) The treatment isn't cheap but what dentist is? They have limited parking for patients, about four spaces, but on street parking is available adjacent to the surgery. If you are looking for a dentist I can recommend Harbour Way.

He held my xrays the wrong way and filled a bottom molar clumsily that I had no issues with and sent me off with a bulky filling that fused my 2 teeth together. Many dentists have described it as heavy handed dentistry and tried half unsuccessfully to separate it since. The pressure pain I suffered on this tooth recently has made me finally give in and beg to have it pulled. After my 2nd visit to this cowboy, I was left a nervous wreck and the next dentist said that the bruising to my face was excessive and not what he would expect. My Mother also had issues and had to contest the bill that they tried to pursue even though she had to spend more money getting her teeth corrected after his work. I went to this pompous man because an ex friend of mine was his dental nurse at the time. He was all charm and false niceness until things went wrong and then, I couldn't have been treated more rudely. I have been left.with fear of all dentists since setting foot in his surgery.

I've been a patient of Mr Whately's for about 30 years and although I have seen other dentists now and then (when living outside the area) I have never been happy with anyone else. No NHS patients and the fees are reasonably expensive but well worth it (in my opinion). He is the only dentist in the practise so the waiting room is always quiet (you rarely meet another patient) and calm and the reception staff are happy to mind the children during routine appointments. Limited street parking. Car parks nearby.

I found ample parking at 8.30 in the morning though I gather from local friends that it can be more challenging. I understand that there's a free park and ride scheme but I never saw any signs for this. Parking for a whole day costs £8, cheaper than in London hospitals. The signposting to the postgraduate centre was a bit mazy from the front of the hospital but the staff were helpful in offering directions. The acute medicine course was interesting and informative with a nice range of speakers. The venue was comfortable. Quite an impressive setup here in the south west.

Derriford hospital at plymouth is one of the good hospitals in Devon known for good quality staff…read more It is a huge hospital with various floors and different wards like quality control, heart ward where normally patients with their heart problems are accommodated. Within the hospital there is facilty of restaurant where you can easily get sandwich, burger, rice and other food. Same is with the restaurant at 2nd floor but there you can have more food options as you can get a thali there mostly consisting of indian food which i like a lot. The staff at hospital is very friendly, knowledgeable and supportive. When ever you need them they are always available.

There are lots of alternative therapies on offer here as well. The doctors are kind and understanding and the receptionists friendly and helpful. There is a small parking area outside which seems ample for drivers and the centre itself is always clean and tidy with ample lighting and a sense of calm. The nurses are angels and it feels like everyone there is doing the best job that they can. There are male and female doctors for you too see and private things dont need to be discussed at reception in front of the whole waiting room. This centre is also shared by another doctor who is independent but it doesnt interefere with the general running of the surgery in any way

I don't particularly like hospitals but if you have to go into hospital this is quite a good one to…read morechoose. The staff can vary alot, I have been on wards that were great and wards where the care was a bit lacking. The outpatient clinics are generally well run. Parking can be a nightmare and take plenty of change because it is pay and display.

I have been a client & have known Penny Albertella for 10 years, firstly Penny was recommended to…read moreme by an acquaintance when my then 11 year old son qualified a pure bred Arabian horse for the Horse Of The Year Show, the youngest person who had ever done this, prior to the big event the horse had a fall on him and he lost all his confidence to carry on, yet he really wanted to compete at the show. We were told Penny could help gain his confidence back through therapy, I was unsure at first but thought it was worth a try as he had worked so hard to qualify this horse. After 10 sessions, therapy tapes and advise from Penny how to deal with this situation my son rode his mare at HOYS with amazing confidence at this huge event and against a class of 30 adult riders and was placed 6th overall. Had my son not known or had help from Penny I don't think he would have done this. Recently I myself had to see Penny as I had a gag reflux when visiting dentists, it was so bad no dentist could work on me without me physically being sick on them. I had to have a lot of work done and as this condition is a subconscious condition I thought about seeing Penny for myself. I saw how it worked on my son so off I went. I had 10 sessions and she made me a tape which I listened to overnight, prior to the dentist and during the treatment and it worked I was able to complete 5 visits to the dentist without me gagging on anyone. I only wished I'd met her sooner then my teeth would not have been so neglected. I cant thank her enough for her help. Nicola

I was quoted double sessions and higher prices than the market for a fear of flying but was…read moreconvinced by Penny's qualifications. During sessions I raised doubts and was told it needed time to 'kick in'. At the end of our sessions I didn't feel any differently and worse: she led me to believe that I could fly even though I was still terrified. I suffered a 2hr panic attack (even on Valium). I have now been traumatised twice (including the initial problem I went to her with) So I'd say i've actually come out worse rather than better. Her response: 'I must have diagnosed you. I'll book you in for more sessions (at a cost)'. due to shattered confidence in hypnotherapy when I mentioned a refund (at least partial) she completely ignored me. All this is on top of her inhumane manner. One session while I was working through trauma, with tears running down my face I was abruptly escorted to the door as she never goes even a minute over time. I've never felt so humiliated.
