I hired this company to investigate and help file a police complaint against an investment adviser who defrauded me. They didn't do anything of the kind. They didn't conduct an investigation, they didn't contact the relevant regulatory bodies in the US and Canada (his company was incorporated in the US). They didn't contact any law enforcement organization. They just repackaged all the documents I gave them, transcribed what I told them, and forwarded this on to the Ontario Securities Commission. For this simple repackaging of documents they charged me over $2000. When I tried to get a copy of their "investigation," to add insult to injury, they charged me another $260 for a stack of documents that were exactly the same documents I gave them at the outset. I refuse to pay this highly inflated fee, and now they have sent the file to a collections agency. You're better off just doing everything yourself than hiring these people.

Paralegal disengaged a few days before the deadline, there was no consultation except the initial that does not discuss the core of the case. The paralegal decided to act last minute and scheduled a consultation with a few hours of notice ( same day notice) and sent the disengagement letter stating I was not responding. Communication was all about short notices and threats to disengage. Till this day , I have not talked to the paralegal and she never discussed my defence. She once casually asked what I can offer as a settlement in a small claim court and I suggested a small amount and she was about to serve the court and the other party without consulting on possible options and we never agreed on admission of guilt. Communication was bullying, I have never seen this even with the worst lawyer I had to deal with. I signed the retainer after seeing great reviews and talking to Leon and being reassured, but after the retainer it was a different hell of a story. I do not think there is supervision, communication , or training of any sort as I voiced out my concerns copying staff there but it seems the paralegal was free breaching every code of conduct. I have taken the matter to the Law Society. Please do not trust Google Reviews on this business.
