Trust me, we didn't train our fist two dogs much at all and we paid for it. I agree with the other review that says class starts on time. There is no wasting time, you get down to work and you learn really valuable techniques. They give you the information and tools you need to shape a great relationship with your dog. Make sure you do your training between classes or there's no point in signing up. Soon we will be bringing our second puppy to train there and we are really looking forward to it.

Be sure to arrive at class on time because they start promptly! I tend to be a person who arrives right at start time, and I don't even have a chance to sit down before class gets started. It's essential to do the homework between classes; daily repetition of the skills really helps.

On command. Every time. Absolutely night and day difference. Before I took him back home today, I spent almost 2 hours at their facility learning the techniques so I can maintain and continue the training. I had also boarded him there for a long weekend prior to the 30 day training, everything went great. I would, and will definitely recommend these guys. I brought my elderly dog in for a 4th of July visit. It was supposed to be a 4 day stay. I…read moreexplained to the attendant that he was having incontinence issues, and I was told not to worry, that he would be well cared for. I asked about extra services and was told that since it was going to be such a busy weekend that he wouldn't need anything, and she talked me out of the extras. When I picked him up, I was shocked at how badly he smelled of urine. There is no doubt that they just left him to lay in his own urine the whole time I was gone. The smell was so bad that I had to drive home with the windows down and then took him straight into the shower when we arrived. I don't know if he got any attention or if he was actually let out at all. The urine smell suggests that he wasn't. They could have done so much better. I would not recommend that anyone leave their pets here.

I just had the best visit with owner April at Shooting Star Services in Elk River!…read more If you you have specific needs for training, treats and food...this is the spot!! I came here for three reasons: 1) I have a dog that pulls on the leash and she was able to fit my corgi properly with a harness (because I was certain I was doing it wrong.) and she gave me tips and encouragement to continue training for better behaviors. 2) I am super picky about ingredients in dog food and treats and she was able to give me a ton of insight to confirm my research and suggest some things to pay attention to. 3) Lastly, my dog is a chewer and I have been scared that most options out there have the risk of tooth breakage. April was able to give me lots to think about and had good options on what else would work for us.
