Getting a tattoo here was the absolute best experience of any place I've gotten any of my tattoos (recommended this shop by a coworker). I sent Tim an email regarding a tattoo touch up/rework(not originally done at avail) that really needed some work and within 30 minutes he had messaged me back and offered me to come in same day to get it done! I was at the shop a couple hours later, and the whole experience was amazing. Tim's adherence to a clean environment was noticed throughout with him multiple times cleaning down my tattoo site and applying a cleanser several times throughout. His work was nearly painless (I was there about 3.5 hours) and asked many times how the pain was to make sure it was tolerable. Tim's customer service was absolutely top notch, and all of my experience with everyone else working at the shop was also top tier. My tattoo touch up (more of a cover up) turned out absolutely amazing and I will 100% be going back to him and his team for any tattoo needs in the future. I came in with a request for a simple few words and then my fiancé wanted a tattoo a little more complicated. Both unscheduled and unplanned. Had such a great experience here and would absolutely recommend getting inked at Avail. I was a walk-in and the whole staff was so great--friendly, professional, and made the experience super fun from beginning to end. Lucas, a visiting artist, did a killer job on my tattoo--my fav one to date. My wife and I were staying in Sedona and I wanted a tattoo, but after repeated warnings from locals to avoid Sedona tattoo shops, we decided to drive to Flagstaff (again, upon the locals' suggestions). First we tried Burley Fish but even though we got there right at noon when they opened, they wouldn't/couldn't do it. I called Avail and they asked me a couple questions about what I wanted, then invited me to come on out. The guy who welcomed us was so nice and when I described what I wanted, he hooked me up with Lucas, who sat down and thoroughly discussed what I wanted vs what was possible/what he recommended. He then invited us to look through his Instagram while sketched out the design...which was perfect. Their shop is super clean and while Lucas was tattooing me, the whole staff rotated through to check out his work and ask how I was doing. Lucas did an amazing job and was very friendly to my wife and I throughout the whole process. Thanks Avail! If you're in the area and want a sweet tattoo, I can't recommend this place enough. Ideally you should call ahead, but if you're a walk in like me, try to get there right at noon bc they get busy fast. Called same day for a walk-in and they were able to get me in within 30ish minutes and contacted me when to head over. Super welcoming especially for a first time tattoo experience. My artist talked me through the entire time and was finished in 15 minutes. They advised me on how to take care of my tattoo, what to buy, and even gave me a contact card for my artist if I had any questions about anything. Enough staff to accommodate both appointments and walk-ins. I really love the fact that they invest in a space that displays their work in a tasteful way. Natural lighting also makes the place inviting. The Staff... is absolutely wonderful! I've only gotten a couple of small tattoos done previously at other places. By far this shop has the friendliest staff. What hooked me was when the front end answered the phone, greeted me, listened to what I was thinking of, and tried to accommodate my schedule since I was from out of town. I had an amazing experience with my first tattoo at this shop. Going into the process I was petrified and had no idea what to expect. Admittedly I pictured a group of stereotypically intimidating biker-sorts who would sneer at first glance...and I was COMPLETELY wrong. Keep in mind I was ignorant, and the only tattoo shops I had visited for consultations were hardly welcoming. However, the moment I stepped inside I was warmly greeted. The staff instantly makes you feel welcomed. When I walked in I was directed to fill out the paperwork which was quick and painless, sat down to wait for my artist, and had a great time just chilling with one of the staff members and my friends. When my artist Francisco arrived he all ready had a sketch ready to go, which was PERFECT. When I went back, he explained the process, checked again to make sure I liked the art and placed it perfectly first try right where I wanted it. He is genuinely one of the sweetest human beings I've ever met. The entire time he was gentle, kept up a warm conversation with me and my friends, and worked with my breathing/coughing patiently (I was sick). Himself and the staff encouraged me when I expressed my nervousness at handling the pain, and throughout the process continued to check if I was okay, asked if I needed a break, and did not rush the process at all. After I was done he allowed me to lay down for as long as I needed to avoid passing out (I tried getting up too fast at first). Then he took some pictures, explained the aftercare, we showed the shop members, and it was done. The price was fair, he was patient with my questions, and even to the end, the shop and Francisco were great company. I will definitely return here for my next piece with Francisco. I may not know much about tattoos but the line work and detail that he put into my small one was fantastic. read more
