In a land of wonderful food and restaurants, this place was a standout. We were drawn in by the…read moremenu posted in French, English, and German which was perfect since we were dining with our German friends and we were all impressed with the menu choices-not your typical pizza, saurkraut, and burger choices, but rather rabbit, duck, trout, munster cheese, and interesting salad combos. Our German friend is a Michelin guide afficianado and was impressed with the restaurant's library of Michelin guides, so we knew we were in for a treat and we were right.
The server spoke all three languages, so ordering was easy but deciding what to choose was not. My munster cheese appetizer was like nothing I had ever had with delicate flavors, just the right crispness to the cheese and it came with a light vinaigrette mixed salad.
My husband thoroughly enjoyed his rabbit with apricots, and I loved my pike perch with pike dumpling, small vegetables strips with ginger and fresh coriander which was beautifully presented. Our German friends loved their foie gras and trout.
My cherry sorbet was flavorful and the creme brulee creamy. I highly recommend this restaurant.
