This is the best bread I have ever had in my life -- it beats any bakery I have experienced so far in Paris, or all of France. The classic, French baguettes are so fucking good I can't stop eating them. I was lucky enough to have an apartment across the street, so I could get fresh baguettes here everyday. I am so sad there is nothing like this where I live; we are stuck with "Judies" [sic] disgusting, throw up in my mouth, five dollar, so dry my skin is peeling, "peasant" bread in New Haven.
So, stand/sit at the counter to get a cafe (which is cheaper then sitting down at a table) and buy some baguettes, or any of the other fine, baked goods. Or, sit down and order some food -- everything is amazing. But, the baguettes are seriously for an orgasm of the mouth -- and I don't say such weird things unless I really mean it. And they only cost a dollar or two!
FYI: Right down the street is an awesome cheese shop that will vacuum seal your cheese so you can travel with it. The other shops on this little street are all phenomenal. This is a must visit, little street if you are into high quality, gourmet food for acceptable prices. read more
