I ended up in the middle of an argument between them, & my mechanic each blaming the other one for whose fault it was, with Van Horn's saying the mechanic ruined the engine/didn't put it in right, & the mechanic saying that the engine couldn't have failed if it was refurbed correctly. A replacement was done, but this time Van Horn insisted they do it themselves & bypass my mechanic. THAT engine didn't run correctly, so a 3rd was pulled from another car, refurbished, & then installed into my car by their mechs. They couldn't blame my mechanic after the 2nd engine which meant that they very closely took their time on the 3rd engine since they had already used that excuse. After 3-4 weeks I finally had a working vehicle. If they had just listened to my mechanic in the 1st place all of that could have been avoided.

My most recent example happened over the past two days. My vehicle suddenly showed a battery alert and then multiple service icons. I called Ronnie's to describe the problem, and on Brian's advice took the car straight to them. I left the car with them yesterday around 3 pm and got a call an hour later telling me what was wrong, the cost of the repair, and the part was placed on order for next AM delivery. I received a call before 9:30 AM today saying the car was ready for pickup. Great service and great communication. Trust you auto repairs and service to Ronnie's...you will be glad you did!!

The clerk at the store told her it would damage the computer on her ford explorer if he changed it but offered her tools to change it herself. I told her that was a lie. She drove to the nearest advanced auto parts which is a couple of blocks from this store and they changed her battery in less than five minutes. Lazy lazy we will never do business with oriellys in the future. He tried calling and texting but he was blocked since most people wouldn't take kindly to being insulted. The engine was $12k (installed) last year. And the upholstery was $1250. They would've been better off just saying sorry we don't do trade-ins, then insult the customer. Would never recommend these people, at least for trade-ins.

After getting another ride back to get the right part. Cashier tried blaming us saying we told him wrong side. Later he gave a poor apology and would not even look us in the eye. We were just looking for him to do his job correctly, especially when customers like us are paying and dependent on such. Accidents happen. But this accident was clearly avoidable. Service was slow overall. Just thankful they actually had the part.

It's my fault for not making sure I had all of my parts. That and some disparaging comments about my brand of motorcycle and an inaccurate statement that nobody there rides that brand. He said the parts were placed in a plastic bag for me, but I failed to get it. Firstly, one of the parts should have been reinstalled. Why wasn't it? And what happened to the bag of parts? Did they discard a customer's parts without trying to let them know they'd left them? That seems to be the owner's best explanation. My recommendation? Take your business elsewhere.
