Working with Caitlin completely transformed my pregnancy and postpartum experience. From day one, Caitlin brought such deep wisdom, calm, and kindness into every interaction. She guided me through breathing techniques, helpful movements for labor, and thoughtful ways to keep my husband involved and confident throughout the birthing process. Her support didn't stop there--her postpartum guidance was invaluable for my healing and for adjusting to life with a newborn (and she even helped us navigate things with our toddler!). What I appreciated most was how collaborative she was. Caitlin never came in with a one-size-fits-all approach; instead, she listened, offered options, and worked with me to figure out exactly what I needed as a mom--and what would help my baby thrive. I cannot recommend Caitlin enough to anyone looking for genuine, knowledgeable, and compassionate support before, during, and after birth. She is truly a gift.

I would 1000% recommend doing one-on-one training sessions--it's the best money I've ever spent on myself. Thanks to our workouts, I had an incredibly easy delivery and post-partum recovery. Tal radiates positive energy! She kept me smiling, fit, motivated, and--most importantly--SAFE throughout my pregnancy. Her workouts were not only fun but also incorporate many moves that can actually be used during labor. She was always in-tune to my needs and would adapt her routines--even mid-workout--to make sure I was safe and pain-free. I also loved that she emphasized important foundations (e.g. proper breathing technique, connecting breath to core and pelvic floor, safe ways to get in/out of bed, ways to avoid diastasis recti, etc). I continue to use those skills daily. Not only is Tal a mama herself, she has years of experience as a specialized prenatal/post-partum personal trainer. She even stays up-to-date with ACOG recommendations and takes refresher maternal health courses. As a physician, I was impressed with the depth of her knowledge. If you train with her, you get access to her Strong Mama Fitness online for free--another incredible resource. Although she is no longer local in the Bay Area, she is available for 1-on-1 virtual training via Zoom. Our virtual sessions were super convenient, all without sacrificing quality. I can't recommend Tal enough!

All of her sessions were extremely helpful and tailored to what we specifically wanted to learn. During labor, Jasmin supported us with different exercises and techniques that really helped with the dilation process and made the experience more manageable. Since it was our first birth, we knew we wanted a doula to help support us through the unknown. From the first meeting, Jasmin felt warm and always respected what we wanted our birth plan to be. She's knowledgeable and explained everything to us very patiently. We went with the full package that included 4 classes (last one is a visit), unlimited prenatal massage and of course the delivery. Classes were super helpful and we didn't take anything else outside of that besides some breastfeeding classes. The massages were God-sent!! I loved it so much, I ended up gifting massages to another pregnant friend. I had gotten massages from everyone and it was always wonderful. Due to scheduling, I stuck with Amanda's schedule and she did wonders to my aching body. I'm so grateful to have had this resource during my pregnancy!! My last passage was a pressure point one and I went into labor that night! Lastly, the labor and delivery was more chaotic than I thought and I ended up having to shift my birth plan. Jasmin was so wonderful to come visit us at home to help with induction exercises and talk through additional options. She took the time to adjust her schedule to ensure she was reachable and within a good distance from the hospital during my labor. Once we checked into the hospital, she came to check in and continue the induction exercises along with ensuring our nurses were aligned with our birth plan. When we actually started active labor, she was by my side tending to my pain the whole time. She checked in on us a few days after delivery and I loved just sitting down to talk about the experience. She also shared photos of our labor and delivery, which I'm grateful for since it's something you're not thinking about in the moment. Overall, we're very happy with our first birth experience with Jasmin and her amazing team!! Thank you for everything!!!

I always felt like I was getting the right amount of movement without additional aches and pains that typically would come up post workouts. The teachers know what they're doing! For the postpartum phase I joined one of the cohorts and that was such a grounding part of my postpartum life. Having a spot every week to share my feelings and hear from other moms made a huge difference for my mental health while I was getting physically stronger and made me feel like a part of the community of amazing women experiencing this journey. The instructor even comes around and offers to hold your baby (with your permission!) + Clean and super aesthetic space. All new equipment! Calm vibes! Loved it. + Amazing workout! I think I was biased to think that just because you bring your baby it wouldn't be a real workout... but it really was. I go to CorePower regularly and I was more sore from this class than my usual hot yoga. A major plus that exercises focused on your pelvic floor and all the areas you need to work on post birth. Convenient location in Willow Glen! There are 2 parking spaces in front of the studio, but I think most people do street parking. Lots of different classes to try! I'll definitely be back with my baby in tow :)

And when I asked her why she'd became a doula, her answer that she'd had an exceptional birth experience created a vision in me that I too wanted to experience an exceptional birth......and I knew she'd be a big part of that! My husband and I had taken several birth education classes before we had our first prenatal education meeting with Doula. Within 30 minutes of her practical yet lightheartedly humorous instruction, my husband turned to me and said "I've learned more than from her than in 12 hours of classes"! Fabienne was there through many late night texts over several days during pre-labor (as a first time mom, thinking i was going into labor). And when my water broke, she was there inhumanly fast and made us feel so confident, peaceful and yet in control of our experience. When I look back at my birth, I joke that if I had to choose between the three people in the room (my mom, my husband and Fabienne), I'd choose Fabienne to be there. And it's only partially a joke! She so effortlessly was there as my friend, my advocate, my voice of reason, my coach and the glue that bound the beautiful chaos into the happiest time of my life. And she did it through 26 hours of labor!!! Even after our little one was born, her knowledge was instrumental, from swaddling properly (a newborn is very different than swaddling a doll!), to avoiding wet through diapers to properly wrapping for skin to skin. She was the best part of our birth experience outside of meeting our son and we hope to have the privilege of having her there when we have our next child! I can't recommend her enough.....your child is likely the most monumental thing that will occur in your lifetime. And the situation and people surrounding that will forever be part of the fabric of your memories. Having her knowledge, experience and love as part of that will be such a gift.

While Stork and Sprout does have some excellent doulas on its team who provided great support and coaching, my experience with the agency's leadership was overwhelmingly negative. We had a particularly difficult time with Brittany. She demonstrated a pattern of manipulation, gaslighting, and lying, both to us and, from what I understand, to her own employees. Our contract promised consistent coverage, but the scheduling was erratic and communication was poor. We were left to wonder many nights if we would have support, and for several weeks, we only received 1 to 2 days of support instead of the 6 to 7 we paid for. When we requested a refund for the services not provided, Brittany refused and even fought our bank with out-of-context emails and more lies. She claims she "offered a refund" but is even today refusing to honor it as she says in the response. The lack of professionalism extended to some of the staff as well; one sick doula was sent to our home and intentionally caused our newborn physical pain. Brittany treated us like we were the difficult ones and responded with empathy-less chatGPT emails to manage the situation. We were also led to believe we would have one primary doula with a backup, but over the course of our service, we had seven different doulas come to our home. This complete lack of continuity made an already difficult period even more stressful. Based on my experience, I would advise new parents to skip Stork and Sprout and work directly with an independent doula. You will not only save the 30-40% extra fee the agency charges for scheduling, but you will also avoid the toxic and difficult management. This experience is unacceptable for a service that costs tens of thousands of dollars and demands payment upfront months ahead of providing the service. We were not able to switch easily due to the inflexible Carrot reimbursement process through the employer.
