Stellar Service, Honestly, and Value. Though I normally prefer going to the dealer, this time they quoted nearly $2k to resolve two issues. Choking on the cost, I searched for less expensive alternatives though wanting to stay with someone who specialized in Audi repairs. After getting three different estimates, and then speaking with Jim on the phone, I was comfortable taking him my wife's TT. Turned out far better than I expected. Jim got started and realized the dealer had misdiagnosed the issue. It was something a fraction of the cost. I communicated with Chris on Wednesday, and he informed me that I could bring my car in for inspection on Thursday anytime. However, when I called to confirm on Thursday, Jim stated that it wasn't possible. I attempted to call back twice, hoping to speak with Chris, but my calls were abruptly ended (someone picked up the phone and hung up - i assume Jim saw my caller id and didn't want to want to talk further). Once again Jim saved my A**!!! Car started driving funny so I took it to Pep Boys where the diagnostic code had me believe the car a fairly affordable fix, so I drove it to the Key's Audi dealership which was a BIG MISTAKE!!! I ALWAYS take my car to Automotive Plus, ALWAYS, because they consistently do a great job at fixing up my 2004 Audi TT at better prices than anyone where else. But living in Los Angeles I thought this time (eye roll) it would just be easier to drive it down the street to the dealership for what I thought should only cost me a couple hundred dollars. Turns out I was wrong wrong wrong! Found out I needed a more expensive fix and the quote the dealership gave me was a joke! $3066.23!!!!!! Not only was the quote insanely high, but the people who worked there were terribly rude and took 2 days just to look at my car! I have an Audi Q3 and I never have any problem with my car. However, one day the engine light turned on and when I called AUDI to schedule a service, they said that they don't have time for another week and they will charge me $250 only to check my car and I should cover the rest of the charges of there's any. So I looked for a local mechanic shop and I found Automotive Plus. They had available time for me right away. 10 minutes later I was at the shop, they checked my engine for FREE, and they said that sometimes it happens when you put bad fuel in your car. I asked them several time to at least accept a tip and they said No. Soooo yaaa AUDI was going ti charge $250 just to take a look at my car and here at Automative Plus they didn't even accept a tip and fixed the engine light issue for FREE. I loved how they were open and willing to explain to us about their diagnosis, possible solutions and costs for a repair. We had an issue with our car's electronic system and also took it to the dealership, but the estimate was too costly for us as college students. I have actually not had my car serviced here....yet! I took my 2010 Golf to see Jim because I thought it needed an oil change. He checked the oil, saw that is was still full and clean, and said I do not need the service at this time. He could have totally just changed the oil and charged me the $50 or so it was going to cost, but he didn't. Can't tell you how much I appreciate his honesty. My own mechanic said it would be somewhere between $60-80 for the oil change and the import place that works on VW's was going to charge more than $100. Seems like people have had a good experience here. Unfortunately, not nearly my experience. I brought in a 1975 Corvette to have a starter replaced, an exhaust vent capped, and an electrical short resolved. To be fair, the exhaust was taken care of, as well as the starter installed. However, I received my vehicle back with damage done to the body. The excuse was the vehicle was left out over night (a clear act of negligence) and was vandalized. My hood had a significant chunk broken off of the hood, and the electrical short had not been resolved. All being said, I brought my vehicle in to have it fixed - I left with more damage to the vehicle than I had when first brought in. Bad buisiness! Never again! In need of new mechanic. read more
