    Enterprise rent-a-car Frankfurt

Frankfurt Enterprise is a fraudulent rental car company…read more They specifically target foreigners with unmentioned car upgrade fees, special taxes, special location fees, and other hidden fees. They removed me from my rental vehicle as they were selling it mid-way through my rental period. Which is fine I'm a reasonable person, they then put me in a slightly better vehicle and explained the vehicle was "the same rate" and that "all things are as they should be". This was a blatant lie, I'm now in my 7th month of disputing residual charges from this group. They refused to respond to my emails for several months before emailing me five months later asking for more money. Avoid at all costs, take the train into a smaller city and rent there. Additionally, Frankfurt Alamo, Enterprise, and National all fall under the same management firm.

I reserved a car through Orbitz for pick up from Enterprise at the Frankfurt airport in Germany. The car rental and return were uneventful, but several months after I returned to the US, I got a €300 bill from Austria for a sticker that was missing from the Enterprise car allowing it to drive through Austria. Furthermore, I got a €20 bill from Enterprise as a charge for providing my information to the Austrian government. After numerous phone calls to Orbitz and Enterprise in Germany (with associated long-distance charges), and after being assured that the error committed was on the part of Enterprise for not providing the said sticker, no resolution was obtained and I wound up paying €300 to the Austrian government (not to mention the charges that I had to pay my bank for the wire transfer which came to over $80). I refuse to pay Enterprise their €20 charge, which I consider an insult, but they keep sending me bills. Enterprise needs to take responsibility when they rent a car to a travelers that indicate they are going to other countries. In fact, I was specifically asked by Enterprise about the countries I was planning on visiting, yet no information was provided to me. Furthermore, in the letter from Austria, which I had to get translated, there were threats of incarceration for failure to pay the €300.
