I have been with this coverage for nearly ten years, if not longer, and this is how I am treated, and I have NEVER BEEN LATE ON PAYMENT! PROGRESSIVE offers better coverage, for less money, thus we switched, and I must mention, we were, and are more than happy to do so. I just couldn't justify how much more Farmer's was compared side by side with the company I chose. It was $600 difference for the same coverage. I can only speak highly of the agents I worked with there as being very polite, and even when I told them I wanted to get other quotes, again , handled very professionally. Great company to deal with. Excellent service, just to have a huge rate increase doesn't seem justified with no claims. So my issue is more with Farmers in general on their policy, not the agent I worked with. Will continue to price search every year... who knows, I may someday return to them if the rates are right.

We already had our homeowners insurance on our home (built in 1977) with Rooker Downing, so when we…read morebought a rental property in 2012 (home built in 2009) in Rockwall, TX, we went to them. The insurance on the rental was higher, but since it was a four bedroom home, almost new home, and in a very desirable neighborhood, we attributed it to the locale and the quality of the home. Our insurance was cancelled 7 years later. We had just received the statement for the upcoming year at an expense of $1900. We went to Copeland Insurance and our estimate for the same home was $851.00 A savings of more than half. We simply told the agent it was a rental property. We asked if it was a new thing that rental property was cheaper...she said it had always been like that. We have been found at fault because we did not read the fine print, and were told by the Texas Department of Insurance that we signed a binding contract. First, Travelers caught their mistake by cancelling the policy, which is an admission of fault....and second, we did not sign anything! We paid thousands more than we should have! We are not insurance agents, we trusted Rooker Downing to know that when someone already has a homeowners policy with them, that they cannot have two homeowners policies. This was plain and simple theft.
