we brought our car to auto hefner for a tire change. Went there to pick the car up without them calling us to pick it up. Turns out they didnt call us because they used our car for private drives to the bank etc. They used our car for 4 hours privatly and didnt even changes our tires. Do NOT take your car here. We brought our car here for a simple quote back in the beginning of December. The car needed a windshield replacement and a look at a oil leak. They told us they were busy that day and to just leave the car with them and they would give us a call so we did. They didn't call. We went and they said they still hadn't looked at it. We kept calling and going and the lady very annoyed told us that they would call us when they had the quote. This turned into 3 WEEKS just to get a simple quote. With my husband desperate to get the car fixed because we needed it and inspection was about to expire he agreed to the quote. 1000€ for the leak and windshield. It's a really old beater car. We stressed to them to just get it fixed for it to pass inspection and to perform the inspection on it. We didn't care how much we had to pay. They finally fixed it the day before they closed for the holidays and called us to pick it up. When we went he told us that he didn't perform the inspection on it and to come back after January 6th. My husband was super busy that month with work and because of him not doing inspection and taking 3 weeks for a simple QUOTE we had to give our plates to registration in Graf and were left without a car. So we had to go through the whole process of registrations appointments for temporary plates being a month out. We finally get them and take it late February. Windshield was fixed and he said he changed a part to the oil leak right ? He does the inspection and fails us for a oil pan crack that causes a leak. Which didn't we pay him to fix the leak ? And some slight rust on the car. We ask him to please fix the pan and he says there is none in the state of Bavaria and that he would call us when he found it. Knowing auto Hefner and there inability to call for a quote we knew they wouldn't call for the pan. And as predicted the call never came. It's almost like they wanted the 1000€ right before the holidays and then closing to enjoy that money and not tell us that it wasn't going to pass inspection even when investing that and that there was no oil pan or he didn't fix the leak. I will never come here again. Here we are in April still struggling because of them. We've had to In op the car and we've decided to scrap it. Don't come here and trust them. read more

Brought my car to Hoefner to have them look into some issues I was having with my older Audi A6. This was the third mechanic in the area to look at my car, so I was hoping to get a solid diagnosis on what the problem was. I dropped it off on a Monday and heard back from them two days later. The first mechanic I took it to told me nothing was wrong, maybe there was bad gas in it... The second mechanic, who I reviewed earlier, held my car for nearly two weeks without providing a diagnosis at all. Ben, the shop foreman at Hoefner, called me and gave me a very thorough explanation of the issue with the car. He told me what the problems were, how much everything would cost, and provided me with a breakdown of services he provided. While I thought they were a little high on repair and estimate prices, they still deserve a solid four stars for the customer service. If I need any major repairs done or questions about my vehicle in the future, I'll be headed to them for help. read more

Took my car to this shop to replace two doors. It has been two weeks and so far I've been there a few times to check in. Should be done next week. I love them. Hefner is a good person and tells you the truth. If he is swamped, he will tell you he can't see your car and that to me is a sign that he is very good at what he does and is very busy. Down side is that like all German businesses they are not open long on Saturday and not at all on Sunday. The lady that picks up usually has to give the phone to Hefner and if he's on the German 2 hour lunch break, there is no one to ask questions about your car. Give him a try, he is worth it than going on post. read more

Always go to Hefner! I call them Play Boy of repairs lol Friendly staff and they speak good English, they took good care of my beat up car. I'm complete idiot when it comes to cars, they took time to explain what was wrong and show me what needs to be changed. I've been there many many many many many times and each time I left satisfied and happy with service they provided not to mention it didn't break my bank. Reasonably priced and well worth it, much better than going on post and overpaying for simple repair. So yes, I highly recommend auto hefner, they work fast, always friendly, cheap and do quality work. read more

I was recommended to this place from a couple people and I will NEVER go back. Took my car in to check for a noise in my engine, to get my tires sized and ordered, and the fix the 12V power outlet. Showed up to my appointment and waited for an hour for them to tell me to come back and that they'd call me about the tires and that I had to come back in to pay for them upfront before they ordered. I never got a call but decided to go back in to have my 12V outlet fixed and the noise in my engine checked. Made another appointment a week in advance and on the day I came I was told that my car wouldn't be seen until 4 pm when I had made my appointment at 1:30. So I waited and waited for over 2 hours for them to tell me that they couldn't find anything wrong with my engine (when you've driven your car for 5+ years you know when something doesn't sound or feel right) and that they fixed the 12V outlet. They couldn't tell me what exactly they did for the 1 and a half hours I was charged for so I just paid and left. I will take my business elsewhere until they can keep time with appointments. It seems like they keep booking more and more just to make more money but at what cost? If you are military just take your car to the on post car shop. Even though they charge you to look at certain issues with your car you are still able to trust that you are getting exactly what you paid for. read more
