Service team was very honest and helped troubleshoot an electrical issue. Store in Vegas said it was the alternator going bad. However, after doing tests they found it to be a loose battery wire. Additionally their shop is kept very clean and organized. Sign of a well run shop. Definitely recommend using auto doc for any issues you have. read more

There we were, towing our boat with our '99 GMC Suburban, to Lake Mojave, when our transmission blew. John at Auto Doc took great care of us. Not only did he order and replace a new transmission ASAP, but when a faulty trans arrives from the GMC Factory, he and his crew replaced it again, and found and fixed other minor problems. We had to leave our whole rig there (truck AND boat--which he stored for us) and return the following weekend for pick up. Left my truck at AUTO DOC to get my air conditioning checked out (wasn't cooling properly) Spoke to John. He said he would call me with the results when diagnosis is complete. He called later that day to inform me it was the electronic engine fan clutch and evaporator behind the dash was leaking Freon. He quoted about $ 2200 to fix. He said it would take about 3 days to repair because the whole dash of the truck needed to come out to get at the evaporator to replace. I gave him the go ahead, and instructed him to check out all the blend doors in the A/C box and make sure they all functioned properly while he had it apart to replace the evaporator. He called late the next day that the truck was done. I was shocked that his 3 day estimate was done in 8 hours. I asked him about the condition of blend doors and he seemed puzzled, then said oh! they're fine. When I picked up the truck the next day the A/C was blowing cool air but not cold air. I took it back after sitting 3 weeks in my garage and about 150 miles of driving. John wanted me to drop it off for another diagnosis. They replaced the electronic engine fan clutch again and stated now it is the blend doors that need replaced. John sent me a text that it would be another $2000 with parts and labor. But he would cut the labor in half. I ask John the hourly rate of his shop and he stated $150/hour. (I was shocked that his labor rates are as high or higher than dealer rates in Las Vegas) I reminded him that I requested the blend doors inspected while he had it apart replacing the evaporator and his response was they looked great. Then I asked him if he verified them cycling properly in the A/C box. Another "deer in the headlights" look stating they looked great. I asked John about the 2 year warranty and he said the blend doors are a separate issue and are not covered. I stated to John that the blend doors were working fine prior to him removing the A/C box to replace the evaporator. Plus you said that you verified they were fine prior to your reassembly of the A/C box. He had no comment. I offered to supply the parts, if he would install them for half the labor rate as offered in his text. He refused to honor his 1/2 labor offer unless he supplied the parts at a 45% mark-up ($1,000) which amounted to another $1,500 on top of the $2,200 I already paid. DONT GO TO AUTO DOC shoddy work and dishonesty. read more

My Volvo sent me a message that the battery in my key fob was low. I was in Laughlin, 225 miles from home and I was frantic that I wouldn't be able to open the doors, let alone start the car, and I still had a week's vacation left. I called Auto Doc and John said they could take care of it. Drove to the shop (yes, the battery was going, but wasn't gone yet so I could get in and start the car). John pulled up the information on how to replace the battery, installed a new battery, and sent me on my way...at NO CHARGE! I just stood there at first, credit card in hand, until he again told me "no charge" for the fix. I didn't think these types of 'good deeds' existed anymore, and if I'm ever in Bullhead City again and in need of auto service I won't hesitate to go to Auto Doc. THANKS AGAIN, JOHN!!! read more

Brought a car for a general inspection (same day, no appointment which was completed in about two hours) to make sure the vehicle was safe (such as tire alignment, checking brakes, fluid levels, etc.) and whoever I worked with told me the tires were well aligned so he decided not to align them since it would have costed me more and not helped much. He just replaced filters that looked horrendous and didn't do any additional, unnecessary work. Auto docs online They were professional got the job done quickly but I feel they were very expensive I checked with another mechanic and what they would charged $420. was more like $630 at autodocs supplies seem expensive labor was expensive if money is No Object they're very competent. read more

Auto Doc??? CON ARTIST!!! Called them first to see if could fit my car in, and then when I got there, they told me to bring my car back the next day. That was the first lie. They changed my oil, and told me I was 3 quarts low. My dash light never came on. That was the second lie. They took three days to perform a simple tune up, and when I got my car back, the check engine light came on. They poured an exceeding amount of engine cleaner in my gas tank... Why? They messed up as much as they fixed. I will never take my car back to Auto Doc again. read more

Beware of predatory up-sell. I called in for a bid to replace the rear differential cover seal in my Tahoe. I first asked their shop rate, reply was "depends on what we're working on" but was asked to "bring it in and we'll give you our expert opinion". That evening I received a call and was told my "front brakes were worn down to the wear sensors and the rears were down to the rivets, all your axle seals and bearings needed replaced". I knew my brakes were fine so I asked for a bid on just the seals and bearings. Jonnie called me the next morning and said "going to cost you $3500 to get vehicle out of the shop and that doesn't include repairing the rear differential which could run another $2500". I asked for clarification and when he mentioned brakes I again asked for a price on the other allegedly needed repairs. Jonnie called me back with a bid of $1500. I have never heard of a $2000 brake job on a pickup. By now I am very suspicious of these folks and tell them I'm not interested. Jonnie says "going to cost you $250 to pick up rig". I asked why and he said "the inspection, parts and labor". I thought that was outrageous and said so. The extent of their inspection was to check oil level in the diffJonnie got heated with me and said I would find my "Tahoe in the street". I fixed the rear cover myself in two hours and paid $50 for parts. My brakes, differential and front and rear axle seals and bearings were, and still are, fine. read more

It's a difficult proposition to be in an area where you're totally uncertain who will solve your problems, especially automotive. I was told Auto Doc would treat me fairly, and do a good job diagnosing my failed water pump, and replacing it. They did, no question about it. Good, prompt service is what has now made me a customer for as long as I have a vehicle. A little more expensive? Maybe, but I didn't "shop" the work, and now I'm completely safe and satisfied, so why worry about cost? Be smart and go here first, your worries will be short lived. read more
