Yoga Box - Me Headed to a Yoga Sculpt class

My favorite classes are the yoga sculpt classes! I went to one this weekend and noticed that the…read moreinstructor Heidi brings in her own small, cold cloths that are usually soaked in an essential oil and hands them out to the attendees to borrow for the end of class. It's heavenly! I wish Yogabox would do this for every class and not wait for instructors to use their own money to add this feature. It's a value added touch that I've seen in other studios out of state and it's so appreciated because of how hot we get after the class. I hope management listens to this before other studios catch on!

Absolutely loved Junior's sculpt class today at 4 pm! Junior is such a kind, down to earth, warm…read moreand engaging instructor. He provides modifications and allows you to go at your pace that you are comfortable with, all while encouraging you to push yourself to the best of your abilities. His playlist is also amazing with music that will get you flowing! I was dripping in sweat after his workout, which is a great indicator to how amazing the sets were! Yoga box in Hillcrest is always clean, organized, and has the most friendly staff. They provide mats and towels (free for first time) and $2 thereafter. The room is heated to around 90 degrees and it feels like a warm hug whilst you are working out. Occasionally, the instructors will open the doors to allow fresh air in during the classes. They have cold filtered water as well as a bathroom inside the studio. They have weights and blocks for you to use depending on what class you're taking. There is free parking, but it's shared with other establishments in the plaza, so make sure to get there early enough to secure your spot. They recommend you come 10 Minutes earlier than your scheduled class to settle in. That feeling you get after finishing a tough workout does wonders for the soul! Thank you yogabox and Junior for an amazing experience today!

We felt welcomed and taken care of even before the retreat began. Since it was a holiday weekend with unpredictable weather, Belinda stayed in thoughtful communication with us about finding a backup location in case weather or parking became an issue. Thankfully, neither was! We decided to have our retreat on the beach, which was blissful. Belinda put a lot of care into choosing the location and props for our session. Afterwards, she even sent us the lovely photos she took (with our permission) so we could keep them for our memory. This was a chance to go deeper into the blissful experience of Belinda's teachings. Having attended her studio yoga classes many times, this was a chance to experience the peaceful grounding together as a couple in our semi-private location next to the ocean. As if the ocean waves and sunset were not enough of a treat, the gifts of sound healing and aromatherapy helped our senses go deeper into the present moment. Belinda artfully weaved in her poetic wisdom as she guided us into yoga postures, touch and breathing exercises that encouraged union on the physical, emotional and more subtle levels of coexistence. With Belinda's guidance, we relearned what it feels like to be in easy presence with each other- simply enjoying each other's company and finding joy in our awareness of each other.

I'll definitely be making every effort to be there on Sundays!

VINYA VINO + VINYASA…read more I came here with a few girlfriends for their Brunch Flow class, which includes a post-Vinyasa mimosa. When you walk in, the space is a fun surprise with an open concept including a restaurant/bar on the right and a yoga studio with a small retail shop on the left. It caught me by surprised and at first, I thought I went into the wrong door haha Nope, it's just a big space. I forgot my mat, but they rent them for just $3. Inside the studio, everything was spotless. The blocks looked brand new and they had these beautiful handmade blankets that added a cozy, personal touch I haven't seen at other studios. I used it for my knees during certain poses. The instructor's playlist was engaging yet soothing and set the perfect tone for class. FOOD After class, instead of the included mimosas, we grabbed fresh orange juice and a nonalcoholic kombucha and both were delicious. I ordered the Burrata salad and it was outstanding: creamy burrata, fresh arugula and perfectly toasted walnuts. One of my friends ordered the green eggs and loved it as well. SERVICE Everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful. We made our reservations beforehand online without any issues, check-in was quick, renting the mat was easy and the staff at the restaurant side were upbeat and welcoming. It all felt very effortless and organized. AMBIENCE The entire space is decorated beautifully. It felt warm, modern and inviting. The restaurant side has plenty of seating for small to medium groups and the layout makes the yoga-to-brunch flow feel seamless. It's a unique space that feels both energizing and relaxing. It was a perfect vibe for us to have a girls date doing yoga and then grabbing food after. PARKING HUGE plus: lots of parking. This spot is in a strip mall with a shared lot, so parking was plentiful and totally stress-free which is something I always appreciate when heading to a class. I recently discovered they're on ClassPass, so I'll definitely be coming back and signing up for more classes. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun yoga experience with great food and great vibes!
