We had a vacation in Palm Springs lately and I would have to say our babysitter from this company (she asked not to be named) was one of the best we've ever had! She came prepared with toys and arts and crafts for older kids, she was very flexible with her hours while we were figuring our or plans at the time of. We scheduled her to only watch my baby, but she also watched 3 kids (ages 12 months, and two 6 year olds) when we needed her, with no hesitation. She made our vacation so much easier! We were staying at the La Quinta Resort and they suggested Aunt Fran's for our 17 month old. They seemed very concerned about my child's safety over the phone, stating that they wouldn't take him to a pool or even give him a bath (the latter seemed a bit extreme to me, but better safe than sorry!). Originally Nicole was supposed to watch him, and based on the reviews, she seems wonderful so we were excited. When I called to confirm though, they said that Margie would be taking care of our son instead. Margie arrived on time and started to engage our son in play. She didn't have any toys with her as they promised she would, but oh well. Things became less than ideal though when it was time to say goodbye. Our son typically has no problem saying bye if we give him the time to make the transition, but Margie pulled him away from me as he screamed and reached out, stating "They always cry like this." (Cue mom tears!) When we got home, she told me that she couldn't get him to fall asleep in his crib so she left him laying on the bed. She didn't have the monitor near her or on and was sitting in a separate room from our son's room. When I went to check on him, his face was covered by a pillow. Needless to say, I was absolutely appalled. Given how much they talked about safety over the phone, I'm shocked that they haven't trained their staff on safe sleep techniques. We are lucky that our son didn't suffocate or roll off the bed. Be careful when trusting your baby with this service. read more

If only I could find this kind of babysitter where we lived, we literally wanted to take our sitter home with us and ask her to be our au pair. They are experienced and seasoned, it was like having a young peppy Grandma take care of your kid. Not only do they call to confirm your appointment and details, she arrived early with the most adorable age appropriate toys that instantly captivated our 18 month old son. She kept him on schedule, fed him lunch, did endless craft projects with him that she brought herself with coloring books and stickers, put him down easily for his nap and when we arrived, it was like he made a new best friend that he wanted to show off. We HIGHLY recommend Aunt Fran babysitting service. If you call in advance, they will coordinate a sitter that can come for all the days requested so your little ones don't need to get used to a new person each time. Aunt Fran's Babysitting delivers the goods when it comes to watching my son! I needed them twice on a Friday for about 8 hours total while staying at La Quinta Resort in La Quinta, California. First of all we were super nervous about leaving our kids with anyone we didn't know. However, we decided to use the company recommended by our hotel in Palm Springs. Aunt Frans was great. Honestly I think the main office works round the clock considering it was after 9 when we confirmed our room number and they answered the phone. They assigned June to watch our two kids. Everything worked out perfectly and surprisingly she had both kids asleep when we got back. This lady was great. She found someone for us last minute. I have only used one sitter so I can only speak to that but Anna May was super. She was very prompt, brought her own videos and some cars and coloring supplies. She was even able to pry my youngest away from me and stop his tears. Such a wonderful experience. Called, and spoke to the owner. She was very efficient over the phone, quoted me the hourly rate, told me about the staff, took my requested date and said she would call me back. She called back in about 5 minutes to say she had booked Anna May for us. Anna May is a dream of a sitter. She called a few hours before she was scheduled to arrive to ask questions about our daughter, her name, age and what she liked to do. She showed up 10 minutes early and greeted my daughter by name (nice touch in making our girl feel comfortable right off the bat). She brought a huge bag full of activities and snacks. Very pleased with our babysitting service. We were staying at the Viceroy and hired two sitters, June and Kathy, to watch 2 two-year olds and our 5 month old while we were at a wedding. This was my first time leaving the kids with anyone besides family so I was very hesitant. When I called the service recommended by the hotel, the woman who answered was very friendly and professional and gave me great tips. She checked in with us a few times the week before which I loved. When the women arrived to our hotel room (early might I add), I was instantly put at ease because they were older women with huge smiles on their faces. Just like my kids' grandmothers. They were very sweet and brought books and coloring books and stickers etc for the kids. They used to work in preschools and were nannies and babysitters. I came back early thinking I needed to put the kids to sleep but when I walked in the room all 3 children were asleep!! So pleased! Thank you for being such lovely, kind babysitters.
