USJ is by far the elite school of Jackson and is not even comparable to any of the other private schools in the area. There is not a comp to USJ in Jackson or the surrounding counties. USJ is much more similar to ECS, St. George's and Briarcrest in Memphis as it is to TCA or JC or Madison Academic. The leadership of Don Roe at USJ is unmatched and if/when I have children, sending them to USJ will be the easiest decision of my life.

USJ charges family and friends $8 per person to come support their own children at their soccer…read moregames. This is unacceptable! I understand needing to raise money through donations and such but I'd rather be asked to donate than to be stolen from. It's just wrong!

Hello, I'm now going into high school so I thought I might as well. Over all this school is an 8/10…read morein my book. I will start off with the bad stuff then work towards the good, the worst thing about this school is the staff at the front office ! They are most of the time only helpful for giving late slips , we have had tons of encounters were my mother got mad because these so called professional people would start talking smack , as of this post they are very useless . 2. The cleaning of the building . Now , when you walk into the front building it will be very very clean, but once you work towards the classrooms it gets worse , this is understandable but I'm talking about it through all of my middle school days. There are bugs , yellow smushes in the ceiling and classrooms are very dirty , I've always come back home with dirty shoes even when they cleaned the floor . 3. The lack of actual education . Now the teachers are really good, but for example most of the time you just get handed some packets In the later grades , when there is a substitute you get long long packets that sometimes aren't even for a grade.4. Communication with parents.I swear it feels like your kids teachers are just ignoring you, they only sometimes respond to parent sent emails. That's about everything bad about this place I can think of . Pretty much everything else is above average , the teachers and principal are great. Oh one more very important thing to add, this doesn't relate to schools faults, there are a lot of vapes here , so make sure if you see more than 4 kids going into a bathroom it might mean bad news .

She would be up till 1-2am doing papers an cramming for a test an then if you are out with some friends an they are doing wrong an say someone snaps a picture an your at a party an the school hears about it they will put her/him out for an example to other kids that they do not tolerate any children being disrespectful, drugs, drinking ,sex, anything that is heard from the office you will be asked to leave the school an still pay for the rest of the school year! An if you DON'T they will cost you a lot of money to get away from there ,so if you think your child will not work out due to " grades,Attitude, or likes to party do not even try this school! But my Daughter is in her 2year of college this fall an can't be any happier! She was in the Middle thru High not the Lower school ...
